I met with Shane Green today who is one the good guys in the industry who truly cares. I can see why Dr. Michael Chen hired Shane Green as his PA because they both share the passion for health and providing the best possible care for their valued patients. I’ve been seeing them for years to help me manage my severe chronic back pain after transferring pain management clinics after I felt like I was just a number and dollar sign to my last pain doctor. Since day one, Shane & Michael Chen and staff have actually listened to me, provided excellent professional care while treating me as a human along the way which is SO nice and rare. I recommend both Shane Green & Dr. Michael Chen without any reservations and I was not compensated in any way for leaving my honest review. Thank you guys!
As a business owner for over 30 years, I was so impressed in the level of class and customer care that this facility and the physcians and staff had for each patient. It's genuine. I love riding my horses, public speaking and doing life to the highest ability I can. I deal with a lot of pain and so it has definitely changed the quality of my life. But I can say if you have a team backing you that's as interested as in your quality of life as you are you can't go wrong. Bar none this medical facility has had the most highest bedside and customer care service I have ever experienced and I have dealt with a lot of great medical facilities. If you're looking for someone that's really out for your higher good then I would say definitely this is the place to go. I have just barely begun my journey with Alta pain, I'm looking sincerely forward to the journey.
Dr Chen is a great communicator, he takes the time to listen to concerns, gives you options to work with, explains things thoroughly and really makes sure you understand. Add to that his empathetic and caring nature and he is by far one of the best physicians I have worked with.
Jason is always a pleasure to visit with, as he seems to have genuine care and interest in how you are doing. He is very flexible in his approach and wants to ensure you, as the patient, are feeling as comfortable as possible with your chronic pain management. The only negatives detracting one star are all revolving around administrative items. I’ve had extra charges added to my bill for no-show appointments when I didn’t actually miss my appointment. I was told those charges would be removed but they weren’t, until I had to follow up about 3-4 times over about as many months. I’ve had very unprofessional responses from reception in the past derogatory statements regarding my prescription for pain medication, though I believe that individual may no longer be with the company. And lastly, this is a minor one, when presented with 3 different available appointment times, I asked for my appt to be scheduled for 2:20pm, but it was actually scheduled for 2pm and I didn’t realize that until I received the reminder text telling me my appt was 20 mins earlier than my requested time. Had I not noticed the difference as early as I did, that could have caused a late/no-show fee because I would have expected my appt to be 20 mins later. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the system they use for billing and scheduling or if it is due to improperly trained staff, but it is unfortunate to experience on a regular basis when you truly appreciate the providers here.
From Rick J Nichols, Alta Pain Clinic is the best Pain Clinic in the business. They are so kind, and compassionate and are always on time with your visit. Shane does not concider himself as a Doctor but from what I read in his reviews all his patience do concider him as a Doctor. He is as knowlegable as a Doctor. They are by far the best. Dr Chinn is the best at giving injections and they really work. Thank You to all the staff at Alta Pain Physicians you guys are wonderful. Rick J Nichols
Always great. When calling in to make or check on the time of an appointment if they aren’t able to answer they return my call w/I a reasonable time. The employees at the front desk always greet me and any interaction with the staff is cordial and professional. Dr. Chen is kind and empathetic. I’m extremely happy with Alta Pain Physicians. PS: The new facility is beautiful. Jenn
They spent a good amount of time trying to determine the cause of my pain. Although there were no clear answers today, I’m hopeful we’ll figure it out in time. Very kind entire staff. Dr Chen seems sincerely interested in alleviating my pain and discomfort. I trust I will be pain free very soon with his help. And without medications!
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Chen for 10 years! I love the staff, nurses, and of course the Dr’s. They have a very warm and inviting reception area and really hear what your concerns are! Highly recommended!
I was treating with kind compassion, like a human being who has been suffering in pain for years, not rushed through like innoculating cattle. Dr. Michael Chin truly cared about me and my family.
I travel for part of the year and see Shane when I am in Salt Lake City. He’s the best! Takes time to discuss issues always and is super accommodating. Wouldn’t go anywhere else
