We are an Herbal Apothecary carrying organic Bulk Herbs, Teas and Bath Products, Homeopathy, Essential Oils, Flower Essences, Extracts and more.

Description

At Alternatives for Health, our goal is to help you attain and maintain your health and wellness goals. Our focus is on helping people take charge of and keep their bodies healthy through bodywork, herbal products, proper nutrition and detoxification.

At the shop, we carry Bulk Herbs, Teas and Bath Products, Homeopathic Remedies, Flower Essences, Essential Oils, Herbal Extractions and Formulas. Our treatments included Massage, Reiki. Ionizing Foot Treatments, IET and Teasel Treatments for Lyme Disease. We also carry gift items, candles, incense, smudge products and supplies.

We hold classes on a variety of subjects, such as Meditation, Chakra Balancing, and Herbal Apprenticeship. For a full list of classes and workshops, please visit our website.

Salli had the most comprehensive stock of bulk herbs and teas around! I love shopping here. There is always a great selection of local products as well as larger brands. I got my first taste of herbal medicine and tea making here and it's snowballed into a passion that's gotten a little out of hand! Thank you, Salli!
From what I seen it has a decent variety of herbs. The woman at the counter didn’t greet me she just blurted out for me to use the hand sanitizer. I said sorry and did. As I carried over two jars of herbs she said “I have to do that, these are no longer self serve. How much of these do you want ?” I don’t know if it was the lack of warmth, the lack of customer service or just her tone but I will never return and will use taproot treasures from now on. I was hoping I would be able to find another apothecary to supply my business, this just isn’t it. Even if it wasn’t self serve, her attitude was just not what I wanted attached to my experience. I see another woman of color had a bad experience as well going through the reviews.
The best herbal apothecary. Stocked with everything you could possibly need. Owner’s very friendly and willing to answer any of your questions that you may have. I always go when I come back to Massachusetts to visit family. Wish they had a shop in Ft. Lauderdale. There aren’t any herbal apothecaries around here in south Florida.
Salli really knows her stuff. Great products in a sweet shop with a convenient location. We are big fans of local honey and we get it here! They offer some cool classes, too!
This place has walls of dried herbs, supplies for making homemade beauty products, and tinctures to improve your health... and that's just to name a few!! Definitely recommend this place to all those interested in herbalism.
Loooooove this store. Appreciate herbs, teas? Need crystals, stones, natural health remedies? This is where you should be. Sally the owner is informative, knows her stuff!! There are oil making classes, other informational sessions going on constantly. It's a great community place for your homeopathic needs. I get most of my dried organic herbs there. She also has a section to buy hard Items/containers needed when making your own lip balms, scented oils, soaps etc. It's great if you only need a couple at a time.
Great little shop in Sturbridge.. The Woman who owns it is very Kind ! Surprisingly large and Broad selection.
Anita, the massage therapist, is a gifted and talented lady. She has taken me out of pain and has made aches and pains disappear. She is the only choice for me. Highly recommend her.
Awesome alternative health store. The owner is wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful. Many cool things besides herbs and vitamins. Check this place out!
