We love the doctor but the administration is really frustrating. We are put on hold for at least 20 minutes each time. We don’t get the doctor we have chosen when child falls sick - looks like they dont have much buffer in the appointment which is very annoying. To top it, the folks at reception seriously should move out of pediatrics if they can’t smile .
They referred me to the terrible place which is Stanford Pediatrics Emergency at 900 Quarry Rd, Palo Alto, CA Please read my review that I left on Google: 4/11/2023 Here is the story about she*ty Stanford care.. My 3 years old had a swollen eye. We went to Stanford Pediatric Emergency Department on 900 Quarry Rd Pallo Alto. The summary: We waited for ophthalmologiest to see the child for 2 hours. We waited for CT scan to be done for 5 hours. The child was without a food and water during thise hours. When we got to CT scan my son didn't hold his head and they said - sorry there is nothing we could do.. Did they really expect 3 years old to hold his head and don't move during the scan???? They gave him some anti anxiety medication before the scan, and expected 3 years old to stay calm during the scan. Rea No, you aNOT!!!You torched my child for more than 5 hourswe got to emergency room at 4 pm and left after 1:30 AM, waited for CT scan for 5 hours. Oh, by the way, we have paid about 2 grand for this torture. Stanford is just a brand that maybe was good some once upon a time, but it's she*ty now.
All the Doctors are really good, the way they diagnose and treat makes you feel things are going to be okay. Prescribe medication only if required. Have seen Dr. Monica often. All the nurse and receptionist are very good too. Very kind nurses. Ena a receptionist there she has a smile every time we go in makes us feel welcomed. On the whole very good clinic and perfectly kids friendly.
Dr. Julie Chen was an absolute pleasure to work with for the first 6 months of my son's life. If we had stayed in the area he would still be under her care! She has great bedside manner and is extremely patient with first time parents and the many questions we had. Most importantly she is thorough and data driven.
Some of the best pediatricians and good clinic overall. All but one front desk staff are nice. Dr. Babcock, Dr. Monica, Dr. Ashley, they're all great and Dr. Julie Chen is the best. She is one of the most thorough doctors I've seen. Love and respect them all.
We only have good things to say about Altos Pediatric Associates. Our pediatrician is great and takes time to give tips / explain little nuances about taking care of our child. It sounds like a couple people have had bad experiences so I want to reassure others that we have only had a good impression of both the facility and ALL of the staff. They are professional, friendly, have been taking proper precautions with COVID-19, etc. We feel like our child is in good hands here.
The doctors are very nice and patient, but the assistants/nurses and the front staff let you down, they are not only rude and unskilled, but they tell you directly in your face that “you are just a number” in their clinic and “don’t you see that I’m waiting on the phone” when she was wearing a headphone not talking with anyone. Extremely long wait times even I told them that is an emergency my daughter had high fever and was shaking and lack of empathy to patients. Try waiting in the lobby for the front staff to do their job with a sick kid next to you is painful. I want to complain about one specific Indian nurse who was so rude and very tough to my children. She told them that is their fault that they got flu virus because they did not wash their hands enough. To say this person is unprofessional is not enough, she is unkind as a human being. How could a pediatric clinic recruit such personnel is beyond me. Past few urgent requests have resulted in 30- 40 min telephone hold to another 30-40min to talk to a human and another 30-40 min to hear back from an advice nurse. We love our doctor, but this practice is unbearable. Pretty long waiting times the handful of times I had appointments for my kids. Families with young ones: stay away, you will get poor service at high cost.
We've been attending this practice for 3 years now. Always lovely visits. Really like the Drs, especially Patricia Chang. The front desk has always been helpful. Nothing but kind words to say about this office! : Would definitely recommend!
The staff are very nice and they have a lovely waiting area for kids. However, there was a long wait for the doctor for the appointment spent 45 minutes over 90 minutes just waiting for the doc and staff to come to the room throughout the appointment for the visit and shots. It was difficult to transfer records from another doctor's office. I was told I would be called back for three separate issues and they never did. I had to go in person to resolve issues. If they could implement a secure messaging system that would be great.
These are some of the best pediatricians you’ll find. We’ve been visiting regularly with our toddler over the past two years and have always had very kind and professional help. The waiting room has a beautiful fish tank and all the exam rooms are nicely decorated. From shots to exams, our son has always been fine with returning there when needed.
