Made a reservation one month out for Labor Day weekend, we arrived on Sunday afternoon and nobody was in the office. Called all three numbers available and nobody answered my multiple calls. We parked in an empty spot and plugged, no power and our rv was reading 90+. Had to stay in a hotel for two nights and continued to try to get a hold of someone. Tuesday morning after the holiday weekend I got ahold of someone in the office and she said the electric box was fine, that it was our surge protector. Ended up the electric box needed to be replaced, not our surge protector! The people in the office were very apologetic and made sure to not charge us for the two nights we couldn’t sleep in our rv. The lot was clean but noisy with trucks leaving at 7am to work. Would not stay here again but made the best of it.
The people complaining about them not taking last a certain year camper. It's for insurance purposes, not their personal choice. We've only been here 3 weeks, very clean, safe environment and Mrs. Penny has been amazing with all of our needs getting met.
Called toe reserve a spot on there waiting list. When I told them the year of my camper they refused. stated it was over 15 years old. to them it would not matter. They I feel would not care if it was newly restored to new condition. To me they want people with money money money to be in there park. Talk about discrimination.
moved in here 6/7/15 and before I moved, I called to make sure the park was family friendly and asked if they charged extra for additional people because I had five kids. They were incredibly friendly over the phone and told me there were several families, even some who homeschooled. Today, 6/19/15 the owner, Alvin, came to my door, told me that I could not have 5 children here and that I KNEW that and I had 72 hours to leave. After crying my eyes out, I looked at my "lease" agreement which INDEED stated 7 people, I called and talked to the lady in the office. I asked her how he could tell me to leave because of this and she ignored me, telling me she would fill out the violation form and deliver it to me. When I asked her exactly what violation I had committed, she would not tell me. I called back a while later to speak with Alvin again to ask him what was the violation and he refused to tell me, stating that he didn't have to but there was a "multitude" of reasons. I assume he will create this multitude of reasons in response to this review or if I take him to court which it's not even worth because I am disgusted by these people now. When I told him that I was being discriminated against because I had 5 children, he told me that was my problem and hung up on me while I was still talking. This man is incredibly rude and this park is NOT friendly OR FAMILY friendly AT ALL.
Absolutely terrible! I would give zero stars if I could. It's a big place but bigger is not better and thus place is proof! After spending hundreds of dollars with them over the years, this year they take your credit card and drivers license and write down all of your license information on a piece of paper and the old lady who claims to own the stand with her husband says "we put your drivers license information we write down in a safe for 7 years. We had no issues showing our license but for them to physically write all of your information down is a security risk. When I asked her about it, her response was "we've been ripped off before." It's bad business to make rules because of exception. If you can't assume any risk, you shouldn't be in business. This place is high risk for customers. The owner said "if you don't like it, go somewhere else. There's a reason you have to strip down at the airport." Whar??? I TSA precheck at the airport... Ha! POOR ownership. POOR poor ownership. Beware. This business is the reason identity theft is made easy. Go somewhere else if you can. They don't care about customers. The teenagers working there are nice so I don't fault them. They are only doing what they are told and don't understand that it's a horrible business practice.
I've done a few jobs over the years for people in Alvin Lafons RV parks and I can tell you Lafon always runs a clean and top shelf operation ! Everything this guy does is always done with integrity ! The 30 plus years I've been in this area, all I've ever heard from people about the Lafons is positive!
This park will not accept trailers older than 15 years old. So to all of you owners of older trailers who actually take pride in your trailer and take care of things, you can't go here. What a shame!!!!
They didn't let me camp because my Rv it's old lol well maintained but a 2005
