Alvin Historic Museum
The Alvin Museum Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organzation led by a Board of Directors. Committees function within the organizational structure and are encouraged to participate in the work of the Society through volunteer activities.
The Alvin Museum Society owns and operates the Marguerite Rogers House Museum and the Alvin Historical Museum. Both museums are open for touring on Thursdays, Fridays and the first Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Admission is $3.00 at each site. Children under 12 are admitted free.
The Alvin Museum Society exists to preserve the history of Alvin and its immediate area by heightening residents' awareness of the value of saving the past for the benefit of the future. Exhibits, programs, and activities that educate the museums' patrons are offered. Selected for preservation are structures, objects, documents, photographs, oral and visual histories, and all artifacts that add to the telling of Alvin's story. Providing and equipping a suitable building for the Alvin Historical Museum continues to be a goal of the Alvin Museum Society

The Cottage House Museum is located at 113 East Dumble, Alvin, Texas. Admission is $3.00; for children under 12 the tour is free. Proceeds are used for maintaining The Cottage.
