I have been taking my Golden Retriever’s to Amador Valley Pet Hospital since 1995. The neat thing is that each and every time you make an appointment you and your pet will see Dr Chan as Dr Chan is Amador Valley Pet Hospital. Early on Dr Chan made a point to get to know us and more importantly our dogs. Dr Chan’s expertise shows in the knowledge and care she has provided for our dogs. Dr. Chan has been there for us even in times of emergency. Through the years I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Dr Chan and the support staff at Amador Vally Pet Hospital. I highly recommend Amador Vally Pet Hospital.
Dr. Summer Godfrey is the best! Been following her for 15 years with lots of pets. She's smart and funny, compassionate and kind, but most importantly she's straight forward. Highly recommend her for your pet!
Ever since Dr Wolf left, this place has been awful and unorganized. One of my pet needed a cleaning. First schedule date: cancelled day before because they said their dental table stopped operating. I’m a dentist, I don’t really know what that means as I work with humans, but I would assume you put a pet on a table? How does the table stop working? Second scheduled date: also cancelled day before saying their doctor will not be available. Third scheduled date: told me to drop off at 7am. So I rescheduled my work time so I can drop off my dog, and when I arrived, all doors locked. I tried to call and the call went to their sister clinic, where the girl said they have no idea why they told me to drop off at 7am as they don’t open till 8am! Needless to say, I won’t be going back with any of my 3 pets. Time to give up and search for a new doctor. With their level of unprofessionalism, I don’t trust my dogs in their hands, especially under sedation.
I came to Amador Valley Vet.on a day my dog needed help and I couldn't get into my regular Vet. for 3 days and she needed to be seen right away. After calling around Amador took me in right away. Dr.Summer Godfrey was wonderful, explained everything to me. My trust for her was instant, I never felt that about a Vet. before, was always nervous about leaving my best friend with anyone but felt she would be well taken care of and loved with Dr. Godfrey. Thank you all for making me and my dog feel safe and cared for.
Amador Valley vet has been great. I recently had an issue with our boarding facility which caused our dog to get ulcers/ bacteria infections in both eyes. I wasn’t able to administer the medication and so I brought him in and they have been amazing. Summer Godfrey is our vet but we have also seen Nohava when we weren’t able to get in with Dr. Godfrey- we love both of them. Also Suki at the front desk is amazing. She was so helpful and made everything easier.
Dr Godfrey has been incredible with our little dog. Her knowledge and approach is always genuine and spot on. Our pup loves her, and we have absolute trust in her care for him. We tried other vets and offices before Amador Valley and were let down many times. We are beyond grateful we made the switch to Amador Valley and can’t thank them enough!
