Good place to throw your kayaks into the French Broad :-

Great place to walk, dog friendly with dog park included picnic area, rest rooms plenty of space to just lay in the grass to enjoy the sunshine or lie in the shade, tubing and kayaking as well

Quiet little small lake. Great for fishing or kayaking. Peaceful and sirine.

Great park for walking, running, biking, picnics, etc. It also has facilities for several sports, and a playground for kids. Check it out - it's big and runs parallel to Amboy Rd. and the French Broad River for quite a distance. Your tax dollars are spent wisely here to provide this fine park.

Many off leash dogs even though there are signs posted everywhere to keep them on a leash at all times. There is always broken glass everywhere which makes it dangerous for dogs to walk in the grass. Not enough pet clean up stations around the park only one at the entrance and one inside the off-leash area. If you’re across the park, good luck finding bags. The park is right beside a septic facility so it smells terrible most of the time. The dog park is always a mud pit. Besides all of that, it makes for a decent walk on the path and connects to 2 other parks but I wish those negatives would be addressed especially the dangerous broken glass.

Great park! Rolling hills reminds me of the surrounding mountains. Feels a bit old at times. Like we're on the outskirts of town. I felt a bit unsafe at times. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

Lovely park with river views. I set up a blanket in a sunny field with my pup send enjoyed the sunny afternoon. Nice people and nice dogs!
