My doctor ordered a test that was not covered by insurance. Ambry called me directly for payment, which I provided. Test results were due within 2 weeks. After 5 weeks and my doctor telling me she did not receive the results, I called Ambry. I shared with Miranda that my doctor has not received the results. She informed me the results were sent to my doctor 4 weeks ago, and that Ambry doesn't deal directly with patients. She said I need to contact my doctor for the results, which I already said the doctor does not have! I reminded Miranda that they dealt with me directly for payment! And, these are MY test results that I paid for - what give you the right to refuse me my own medical record? Miranda finally relented and sent me a medical release form. I submitted the signed form, copy of my ID, a copy of the test order, and the test was not sent to me. An email inquiry to Miranda has gone ignored. Finally, I was fortunate to reach Sydney on the phone and was crazy helpful and professional. She emailed the results to me immediately and said she would refax them to my doctor. Ambry: Syndey did great. She is an excellent asset to your company. I hope she is appreciated. Miranda needs some coaching - how dare she refuse me my medical record!
I am a pay out of pocket client and I preemptively called and set up a profile with all of my information to have this expedited, went to my doctor my doctor confirmed that they would call me for billing and here I am almost 3 weeks later with no call so I reach out to the company. Upon my reaching out they said oh we contacted your doctor for your insurance information. They never even started my test and now I have to wait an additional three weeks and all they could do was say sorry. Terrible for communication, hopefully not the same with my results.
Appointment scheduled for 3:30pm so I shifted some work meetings around to be available. Nobody showed so I called at 4:00pm - after 15 minutes on hold I left voicemail. Received callback stating they had 4:30pm as the scheduled time, even though I’d received multiple texts and emails confirming 3:30pm. Nobody showed so I finally moved on with my day at 5:30pm. Called in to report the no show and spoke to a rude representative who offered no apology or explanation as to why our scheduled appointment ended in a no call no show. Terrible service and disruptive to my schedule to have to deal with them. Update 7/19/22: Rescheduled the appointment Ambry no call no showed for. 2 hours past the new scheduled appointment time and still no word from Ambry. I called and the representative said they would pass the information along to the technician. Two no call no shows from this company so far. Very disruptive to my schedule.
Horrible experience. Waited 2-1/2 hours for the phlebotomist to come to draw my blood. Never showed. Called the company to see if they could see what was going on, Sandra told me she’d call me back. 40 mins after waiting for her call back, I called again. I said I thought you were going to see what was going on and call me back, her response was “I said I’d call you back, I didn’t say it was going to be today”. what was she going to do call me the next day and say he wasn’t coming. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor who said they would find out what happened and have someone call me first thing in the morning. Still waiting hours later with no call. Don’t use this company many hours wasted waiting for someone who didn’t show. Terrible customer service. Use someone else!
The facility I am having a mamogram with shared my information with this company and they will not stop emailing and texting me EVERYDAY!!! I looked them up and have been on hold for five minutes to try to get them to leave me alone. I completed their survery and they still remind me to complete it daily. This company sounds like a nightmare to deal with based on the reviews and my experience.
Completed NeuropathySelect and ExomeNext- Proband plus mtDNA. Disillusioned with VUS neuropathy gene mutations result, even with positive nerve and sweat gland biopsies. ExomeNext- Proband plus mtDNA provided no useful information and was contradictively used by doctors to dismiss and minimize my suffering since a child. It cost 10 times the amount out of pocket then what they quote on their website. Ambry Genetics is useless to the wrong doctors and appears to base results on subjective check book science that can cause harm.
My doctor sent me to Ambry Genetics for a test to see if I have a hereditary condition that can cause cancer. As I was shown to be positive, this now affects my whole family. My insurance provider denied the claim $3000+ as it wasn't 'medically necessary' and I didn't have prior authorization. I called Ambry to see if I could work out something on the payment. Was told I didn't owe them anything as they cover denied claims. As an American you rarely hear things like this. Thank You Ambry!
Terrible service! I had a test done November 4 2020 and because of many delays from Gentry I am still waiting to hear back. Now it's Dec 22 and I have still no answer for the BRCA gene test. Gentry claimed 2 weeks ago my test was ready to have an answer and now they are dodging any information to give to my Doctors office. My nurse called 4 times in one day and never received any feedback. This is the worst place ever. They lie and don't ever respond to your calls. I am awaiting the results for the BRCA gene and it's causing so much anxiety now I wished I never took the test even though I am at a high risk of having breast cancer. Warning DO NOT USE! Find another place. I did finally get the results but the stress of waiting and broken promises made this feel as they did not care about the people, only the money they were receiving.
Have had exactly the same experience as another noted here. I never approved this testing. Got a bill from them, first bill I'd ever received, stamped "past due." Call and leave messages, and they never call back. This bunch are a scam outfit. Avoid like the plague.
Kind and compassionate and very keenly aware of how to handle insurance questions. It is clear that they care about the wellbeing of others.
