Dissapointed and overpriced. $41 for 3 movie tickets in the most uncomfortable movie theater seats I've seen in years. $5.50 for a bottle of water is deplorable as well. I'd rather see a movie anywhere else. Especially with how dangerous this area is.
The theater was amazing. The Dolby surround sound was on point. The reclining seats were very comfortable. The snacks were ready and waiting for me to pick them up. The personnel at the concession stand were a little stressed but very helpful. The lady that checks you in to the theater needs a little customer service brush-up but all in all I had a very good experience.
Huge theater. The exterior is starting to look a little run down but the interior is great. The seats are comfy and the sound and sight lines in the movies were all great.
Very large location with showy internal architecture. Check-in is separated to the left or right of the concession stand based on the theater number hosting your showing. Seems to be the only place in western PA to see Dolby or Imax, and also has the only reclining seats in the Dolby theater. Allows for seat reservation unlike the other AMC locations within the area. In need of amenity upgrades to bring it in line with AMC theaters on the West Coast, and newer locations.
Always Cool yet never enough workers for concessions!! Outside local police posted for whatever reason. No more ticket personnel only computer operated purchases by cards. So many new things to omit the use of people. People are becoming obsolete!! Not Good in my opinion!
A delightfully art deco / fantasy 20th century behemoth of a theater offering Pittsburgh’s only true IMAX and Dolby theater. If you care about cinematic excellence, you’re going to need to make the trek out here. There’s precious little in the way of high quality attractions around the theater, but the structure itself is the highlight and the reason for your trip. It feels a bit 1920s and a bit 1990s and somehow that’s still ok. The interior is in relatively good shape and feels Disney-Esque: everything is huge and suggests the classic wonder of the movies that we all sort of think of nostalgically. The concessions area is about 20x as large as it needs to be and is now understaffed. Automated drink machines do the majority of the work. So it all ends up looking quite abandoned even if 200 people are queued up in the lobby! That’s how large this place is. Getting to a movie theater is a simple experience and very accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. Given the size and relative lack of staffing it really is kept up in pretty good shape and they should be praised for that! But you can tell the whole thing is beginning to lose a little luster and automation has stolen the vibe that used to abound here… Enjoy it while it lasts.
The movie theatre really should reconsider who they hire because the movie theatre is dirty, the people who work inside are very inappropriate and snarky with how they act towards customers who don't know how to order including kids on the neurodivergent spectrum. the food is overpriced and low quality. There are better theatres in the area. I recommend staying away from this place.
Cool place. Great selection of "types" of theaters like Cinema XD and and Dolby Atmos. Super cool that they have buttering station for popcorn. Single downside: they have lanes for members of the club. A bit silly and employees will tell you to go into "comonners" line.
Great theatre with all kinds of screen options which is available. This theatre is also having an IMAX surround sound system which is amazing. Multiple screens at the theatre and there's usually space available except for movies which are on the initial few days of release where early booking is absolutely necessary. Regardless it is good to have the QR code with you for the booking. One doesn't need hard ticket from the counter as long as you have the one with QR code. Best to check with guest services whether the phone QR code works or not. Fantastic sound experience at the theatre. Seats are also super comfortable to sit In the theatre and there is no issues with even the behind tickets. Amazing experience all around.
I've seen so many movies here and every time my experience has been amazing. This time I watched Scream in Dolby Cinema and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a movie theatre. So much fun! The staff are also super friendly and the popcorn is always delicious even if a little pricey. It's also one of the coolest AMCs I've ever seen with a very vintage look and all around awesome decor. I can not see myself going to a different theater than this one.
