We'll escort you through 2 facility tours, 3 tastings, on-site shopping, and provide you with lunch at the Luxurious Sunset Grille overlooking the Mississippi River. This package is $65.00 per person and includes; transportation from your B&B, or hotel, tasting fees, facility tours, lunch, and bottled water on board Amelia's Bus! We LOVED the 9 pm tour to the cemetery and the miners cottage. Absolutely loved our guide and driver, super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We learned lots of spooky and fun stories about Galena. Being able to use the emeters and dowsing rods was really cool and definitely added to the mysterious fun. Our family will be talking about last night for a long time

We had went in 2020 or 2021? I can't remember and the tour guide was awesome!! We saw such cool things, experienced a bunch of activity, and he was very informative, enthusiastic, it was amazing. We went again in 2022 and it was awful... the guide had no enthusiasm, gave everyone attitude, and just acted as if she didn't want to be there. Just stopped at a location and moved on whereas the first time, the guide talked thoroughly about each place! I wish I could remember their names!
Don't waste your money. The guide just raced through her memorized scripts, we asked her to speak more slowly and she didn't. The ghost energy devices were lame. Bus was comfortable but driver drove too fast. At no point was our group greeted. No engagement with us and no thanks for coming. A real disappointment as I love ghost tours.
I have taken this tour last time I went so I booked it again for this trip. It started off with the driver being rather rude, he seemed crabby. The bus was super hot and he blamed it on the doors being open. It never cooled off. Very stuffy inside. The guide was talking so fast and we couldn't understand her. She was very unenthusised and seemed to rush everything. I felt like she didn't like her job. The cemetery was lacking information and the old city one was much better last time. The house we went to was not like the mansion before on my last tour. She kind of left it up to us to do the explaining of how to ask questions. We needed her guidance and it was lacking. I left the tour being frustrated and complaining to my family. We felt we didn't hardly hear what she said and whole characters bit she was doing made it hard to understand. Really disappointed and felt it was a waste if money. I do not recommend. Next time I will do the walking tour with another company. You need a person to do the tour who speaks clearly and slowly and really gets into the stories.
Don't waste your money. We did the bus tour. Not impressed at all. We have been on many different ghost tours in various places and this was the worst one ever. The guide was rude. When we went to the cemetery, we stood on the outside of it and did not go in. The guide did not give any history of the people buried there. Then she would start to walk and our group was unsure if we were supposed to follow her because she didn't say anything. The house that we were able to go in was ok. Again, the guide could have been more enthused about her job as the guide. However, the bus driver was very nice.
A bit disappointing- the tour guide does her thing in period dress and takes a shot an accent, but she speaks very quickly into a poor audio system. The bus was sweltering. The ghost stops likely featured some interesting stories and history, but we could not make out what she was saying. Look elsewhere for a ghost tour in Galena.
This was a terrible tour. My wife and I went on it at 9pm on July 15th, and let me tell you, this was just a train wreck. Kyra ? was the single most obnoxious tour guide, stammering all over her words, basically unintelligible throughout the entire tour. She tried to split up a couple on the bus so that she could sit in the front seat. Later, she broke a peice of metal off the door and hit one of the patrons with it. We sat in a wood cabin, basically touring ourselves, 12 people, attempting to use dowsing rods on our own, then listening to a dumb AM radio squelch for over 10 mins with no interaction from the tour guide. This was an enormous waste of time and money.
Website says “luxury climate controlled bus” but this bus was neither. It was hotter inside the bus than it was outside. Our tour guide talked so fast and rattled things off like she was reading a script. Hard to understand and hard to follow along and get into the stories.
This doesn’t even deserve one star. I booked online for an 8pm tour, called around 7:43 because the sign outside Amelia’s door said 6:30, 7:30, and 9pm tours, so I wanted to confirm. Whoever answered was very rude and even said “I know what my sign says.” Backstory: when I booked it at 2pm I quickly saw my email and just read the start time, took a screenshot in case I didn’t have signal when getting there, when it was finally 8:13 I opened my pics to look at the receipt and on the bottom it does tell you where to meet the bus and a number in case you get lost. I called to see if I could still make it and the rude lady said no, you were supposed to be there at 7:50 which the receipt never said that and even on the door there’s no signs about where to meet or to show up early…I had no signal to look for the address and asked for a refund or at least reschedule..I tried really hard to get a refund and she pretty much blamed it on me and hung up on me.
