Description

American Classic is a traditional barbershop with barbers who love what they do. We invite you to enjoy a complementary cold beer or shot of premium whiskey (21+) as you relax in one of our vintage barber chairs. Appointments are recommended.

We offer quality men's haircuts - including clipper cuts, tapers, classic side parts, high and tights, flat tops, and haircuts for boys older than 5 years. All of our haircuts are followed by a vacuum to remove hair clippings from your neck and collar, product, and a hot lather, straight razor neck shave.

We made an online appointment months ago for a haircut as a new client. The day before the appointment, I received a reminder email and text message, so I figured we were good to go. On the appointment day, we showed up to a locked salon. We called the owner and received an automated message that said he was not taking any new clients until July. Obviously, he is not checking his online booking system and has no idea if someone new makes an appointment. What terrible Completely unprofessional.
Booked appointment online. The day of appt, I arrived several minutes early but barbershop door was locked and looking through the window, the place looked like they had left in a hurry. Stood outside and waited but no one ever showed up.Service: Beard trim
I received an email and a text to confirm my appointment was scheduled. I showed up early for my appointment, and noticed the door was locked. I figured they were at lunch. After waiting ten minutes passed my scheduled appointment time I decided to leave. Not professional at all. Not sure how they have been in business this long if this is how they treat paying customers. I would not recommend this place at all.
Man, what a great experience! Dave really went above and beyond to give me the best hair cutting experience I think I have ever had. You can tell that this man loves what he does and takes pride in his work. He has a ton of praise through facebook, google etc., and let me tell you, it is well deserved! I have never walked out of a hair cut and really felt confident the way I did today. Thanks so much for the great atmosphere, conversation, and great looking cut!
I usually have terrible experiences at barber shops, but American Classic Barber Shop was a great time. The owner was extremely friendly and gave me a fantastic cut and beard trim. The atmosphere was great and is designed and effective at making the customer feel welcomed. This was my first visit, but I feel like I have found the place to get my hair cut for years to come!
Dave is a true barber. He takes his time, learns what you want, and presents a product you and him can be proud of. The shop is clean, and easy to find. Prices are fair, and it feels like a good deal for the customer. As other reviews mention, yes, you do get a free beer, water, or shot of whiskey several to choose from, and 21+. Be sure to book ahead of time, well ahead of time, for the best availability. I would recommend to any guy looking for a good hair/beard trim/cut. I will certainly be back.
Dave and Crew are great! Very friendly and professional. I love the old nostalgia and feel of this place. I've spent decades bouncing around trying to find someone who can actually cut my hair the way I like it. Now I found a place literally right around the block from my house. I am a repeat customer because of the following: Their mission statement on the website Customer service Reasonable prices I threw in a $5 tip and still paid less than other places I've been too Friendly Skilled Barbers Free water or beer while waiting Good background music This is the best place in town to get your haircut period! The word is out on this shop so expect to wait when they're busy, but it's definitely worth the wait. Shops like this are what makes America great! Try this place out, I promise you that you won't be disappointed!
Laid back barber shop, with a classic Americana feel to it. Booked my appointment online through his website, and was welcomed by Dave as soon as I walked through the door. Offered a complementary beer or whiskey and was straight into the chair, with no wait. Went over what I was looking for in a beard trim, as well as prior experiences, and Dave went to town, cleaning and shaping the mess that I’d been growing for the last few months. You can tell Dave really cares about his work, he was very meticulous and it shows in the results, taking care to not take off to much without checking in with me on the progress of the trim. Very happy with the cut and will be back.
I got so tired of going places where I had to wait an hour, or had frequent changes of staff. I've always wanted one person to cut my hair every 6-8 weeks. My roommate referred me to this place because he said his dad goes here. When I walked in, they were welcoming, and very nice people. I waited max 20 minutes, and when it was my turn I felt like I was treated like a King. These barbers are nice because if you want to chat, they'll chat with you, but if you say nothing, they won't chat your ears off like most barbers. Their prices are very reasonable. $16 for a men's hair cut. I paid 20 for the excellent service. I was out of there in under an hour, and they didn't judge me for using my Samsung smart watch to pay. All in all you should really try these guys out. Just so you know, they don't typically cut hair for women, and they won't cut hair for kids under 5 years old.
If you are lucky enough to be an existing customer, you will STILL have to wait for weeks to book an appointment spot. If you have never used their service before, then you are out of luck. They don't take any new customers at this time, which I think is a TERRIBLE way to run a business. Pathetic!
