This is the page of the student chapter of the American Constitution Society at Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
ACS is the nation’s leading progressive legal organization, with law school and lawyer chapters across the country. ACS was founded as a progressive counterweight to the conservative Federalist Society.
ACS is a progressive nonprofit that believes that law can and should be a force for improving the lives of all people. ACS works for positive change by shaping debates in classrooms, courtrooms, legislatures and the media. ACS has built a national network of progressive law students, lawyers, judges, policy experts, legislators and academics committed to justice. We have more than 200 student and lawyer chapters in 48 states and almost every law school. We leverage this network to counter the activist conservative legal movement by bringing together powerful relevant ideas and passionate talented people. ACS also works to cultivate the next generation of progressive leaders. We use our extensive national network to assist our members with career development and job placement. Our members get access to job banks, special conference calls, and the opportunity to network with progressive leaders throughout the country.
