Bought a custom couch and the end piece didn't stay connected to the rest of the couch. They came and rigged it a couple of times to "fix" it. Last week the end piece flipped over with my daughter leaning back on it. Luckily, she was not hurt. This couch was very expensive for the quality. I will not be shopping here again. There are many less expensive options for the level of quality. This was purchased at American Furniture Galleries, not AFW.
Everyone I talked to in the store was very friendly and very knowledgeable, and made me feel welcomed and helped at all times. I did look at a lot of options, and went back and forth a bunch of times before making a final decision, and Deborah help with the choices the whole time, and the end result is even better that I expected. I love the result and will definitely consider for future purchases.
Wow, how can I say in a few words the wonderful experience we had with American Furniture Galleries. Aaron Sanchez is a top notch person to work with. He gave us the best pricing in town for an upper end dining set and chairs and helped us select fabric for a bedroom headboard. We have shopped other stores in the area.....you know those warehouse stores with Jake and the Lion and the Lazy-boy galleries with furniture straight out of Mexico. None had the excellent quality and the professional service that we found using Aaron at America Furniture Galleries. Their selection is definitely upscale compared to any of their competition. Absolutely the finest service and selection you will ever find in Colorado Springs. Aaron Sanchez was a pleasure to help my wife and I. Be sure to request his services. Nori Helm was our designer and she was/is phenomenal! We arrived with no designer and Nori greeted us warmly and enthusiastically. She LISTENED to us and was sooo patient with us. We were building a new home in Cathedral Ridge and needed several furniture items to support furnishings we already had. For the office/guest bedroom we were building out a large closet as an office space for my husband. We wanted a desk with specific dimensions and wanted high quality. Nori recommended the Archbold line and we ordered a desk and a 2 drawer lateral file cabinet to match. In that same room, we desired an American Leather Sofa/Sleeper. Nori helped to advise us of the different models and fabrics/leathers and we ordered that item. The desk/file cabinet arrived and are perfect! As is the American Leather Sofa/Sleeper. We then wanted bar stools so Nori helped us choose 5 Amisco stools and helped us choose a style that perfectly complimented the style of our new home. Guests absolutely LOVE the barstools and never venture very far away! We also chose a new bed with adjustable RIZE frame. It is soooo very comfortable and luxurious! Then in order to enable us to more splendidly view Pikes Peak, Nori recommended leather swivel chairs. She helped us find a chair to perfectly match the scale of our existing furniture. We chose John Lewis chairs in butter cream leather. They are perfect and we love each and every item Nori so carefully, tastefully, professionally helped us choose!!! We are soooo very grateful for her design sense and for the serendipitous circumstances for finding her!!! You have a jewel! AND a wonderful representative. She has sound design sense and was open to our questions/thoughts and kindly/thoughtfully assisted us in choices that have beautifully accentuated and embellished our home! We are thrilled! So happy with my living room furniture delivered today. After a long delay due to a chair missing in transit, the owner offered a loaner chair that matched the sofa & ottoman and even helped pick out lamps & rug. Excellent customer service. American Furniture GALLERIES is an incredible customer friendly store. We have done business with them for over twenty years! Their staff is excellent and well trained. Recently we purchased two swivel rockers. When they arrived we realized they were slightly different than what we had ordered. When we brought this to their attention they did their homework and sure enough- not the correct chair! They immediately put in motion a new order for the correct chairs which we received in a couple of months they were special order delivered and perfect! American Furniture Galleries is certainly a one of a kind long time ,locally owned ,customer service oriented business! They are great!
This was the first time my husband and I purchased furniture from AFW. After years of tagging along with our extended family and multiple recommendations, we finally decided to purchase our first piece of furniture to see if it lives up to all the hype. The store is huge and has an extended variety of just about anything you could possibly think of. My husband and I loved it so much that we spent a little over two and a half hours looking at living room and bedroom furnishings. We even wrote down additional furniture to purchase in the future. For the most part the staff were helpful. We did, unfortunately, end up working with a saleswoman that made us second think our purchase multiple times due to the measurements and was continuously pushing us to forgo delivery and use their pick-up option. It was frustrating to say the least, however we've experienced amazing customer service in the past with our families and wrote it off as a rare occurrence. We eventually set up a delivery date and the couch was delivered a little earlier than expected, time wise which was super convenient and the gentleman delivering our couch were beyond impressive. We live on the third floor of an apartment and it took them less than 5 minutes to carry it up three flights of stairs. They delivered it in perfect condition and were so kind. We've never experienced such an amazing delivery service in our lives and that alone was worth WAY more that delivery fee that was charged. My husband and I have been incredibly impressed with the service, delivery, selection and overall experience at AFW. We will continuously purchase our future furnishings from this chain and recommend it to everyone we know!!!
We we're looking for a bedroom set but didn't find anything our picky daughter liked. The place is pretty big with two floors. Some prices were decent but they did have a lot of furniture with high prices. I only noticed some prices and didn't check the quality to determine if it was a fair price for what your getting.
They really do have nice quality furniture but same shady retail practices as most furniture stores. 40% off Thanksgiving/Black Friday sale on dining, yet I found the exact same prices as the last few months. Then they try to ignore the question when you ask them why the "sale" prices are the same.
We bought a coffee and entry table set back in March. When we got everything situated where it goes we realized that one of the baskets is the wrong sized basket. We emailed and have called the salesman who happens to be the sales manager and he let us know he would take care of it. It's now the end of May and we have not received any information or solution to our problem.
