We're building healthier lives in the Akron community, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Create hope. Inspire change. Celebrate success.
The American Heart Association is committed to building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
The Akron, Ohio area chapter of the American Heart Association is an active member of the community, providing education and resources to residents and businesses alike. Each year, the Akron American Heart Association holds three major events, including the Heart Walk, the Heart ball and the Go Red for Women luncheon. The events generate awareness about the risks of cardiovascular diseases and stroke, and raise money that funds life-saving research and education programs.
