Description

The American Space Museum & Space Walk of Fame is a nonprofit organization located in the heart of America's Gateway to Space, in Titusville, FL.
Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military, $5 for students 13-18, and FREE for youth age 12 and under.
The museum is run by professional museum and non-profit officials as well as former space workers, engineers, managers, enthusiasts, and the retired pioneers of space exploration. Our board is populated by individuals -- including astronauts -- who defined America's leadership role in space exploration. When you visit the museum, be prepared to discover artifacts, stories, documents and images from the glory days of space exploration. Our purpose is to preserve space history, highlight the brilliant workforce who makes it all possible, and inspire a new generation of dreamers and doers. We are a singular facility that offers and inspiring and hands on experience.

The museum comprises an indoor facility overflowing with historic artifacts and one-of-a-kind items and a manicured nearby “Space Walk” monument park that features towering monuments honoring the workers and astronauts of the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle Programs. And be sure to visit our STEAM Shop -- a unique retail space dedicated to science, technology, engineering, art and math. There you will find kits, projects, activities, devices and games suitable for school projects, at-home learning, adult education and just plain fun. Great for birthdays, holidays and more -- and we can special-order almost anything you need!

The American Space Museum is open six days a week. Come visit us to see artifacts and unique items from space history up close and personal, along with docents who worked in the space program and are eager to share their stories!

"The non-profit American Space Museum displays historical space artifacts that have been donated by individuals, astronaut, space workers, NASA and contractors. We have working consoles from the Space Shuttle Firing Rooms and from Atlas Launch Pad 36A.We want to preserve the history of the Space Program while educating and inspiring current and future generations of scientists, innovators, and explorers. We agree with astronaut Alan Shepard who said, “We need to remember the people who made it possible; so little is said of them.” Our intent is to honor and place emphasis on American space workers and others who made the space programs possible."

We had a great time at the Space Museum. Sign up in advance for a tour with Travis Thompson. He used to work at the Space Center and has a wealth of knowledge and personal stories. The fee is *very* reasonable at $10 for adults less for seniors and kids. The scavenger hunt for kids is fun and includes a prize. If you are in the area, this is definitely a worth-while stop.
An incredible museum for only 10 USD. Anita and the rest of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth the visit. Once you're done with the museum, you can walk 200 yards towards the river and you'll find the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle walk of fame.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
What a little gem of a spot. Anita was so knowledgeable and shared with us some great stories. The building is small but packed with so much history and memorabilia. We stayed here with our Harvest Host membership it was worth the stop.
Boutique museum, but amazing stuff in there. Loved the entire room of "super computers" that you were allowed to touch the switches on. Age range that enjoyed it was 3 to 13 l, plus a dad. For sure worth $10 per adult. The kids did scavager hunt and they got a free prize!
Took my son here on a whim since its right down the road from our house. I'm so glad that I did, we had a fantastic time! The staff members are extremely nice and knowledgeable. They offered us a scavenger hunt at the beginning which I thought was a cute touch. The rooms are filled with awe-inspiring pieces of space history. We particularly enjoyed the old equipment from the 50's/60's that they let you touch. A very nice man, unfortunately I cannot remember his name but it started with a D, offered to do some science experiments with my son. Let me tell you, they blew his mind! He hasn't stopped talking about it since. This museum is an affordable, educational experience that is a lot of fun for the entire family. Can't recommend enough! Stop in if you get the chance. They also offer "Mad Science" classes for the kids on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
Wonderful little museum with a very different emphasis than the Kennedy Space Center. Many of the people who work at the Cape live in Titusville. This museum highlights the people who make spaceflight possible. Lots of NASA castoffs. So you get to sit at consoles actually used during launches and space flight. It's very immersive and interesting to have this inside look.
This museum is really an insider tip. Not only that the staff on site is just super and takes a lot of time to explain the great artifacts. A real treasure chest, what awaits the interested visitor there. Thank you. We will come again. Our daughter with her 5 years was also totally thrilled.
A super place to look back on a space industry. All Autofacts are donated to the museum. There are nonprofit organization. Well, we’re with the trip and tour the facility.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
This museum has so many items to look at. They have space suits that were worn by astronauts in space, pieces of capsules and rocket engines, and many other things. Don't pass this up because it looks small, there is plenty to see. It also has a wonderful gift shop.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
An incredible display of Launch Complex 36 history as well as the shuttle program. We also attended the MAD Science Cryogenics class with Professor Darren. The class was energetic, fun, and educational . Would highly recommend you swing by this museum and experience all it has to offer.
