You filled our tanks. Charged us IN FULL for the fill. Then over the next months. You continued to charge us a monthly bill on the propane that we had already paid for IN FULL. Just go back and look at our account.
We stopped service in January, due to our auto delivery not delivering twice. We were out of heat and hot water for 2 weeks during late November and December. Amerigas still has not picked up their tank and are still billing me even though I should have credit for the propane they still need to collect. Amerigas has become the worst propane company since they moved away from being local and went national. They closed their office and when you call for assistance you get transferred to a call center, We have had nothing but missed deliveries, over billing and no resolutions. I do keep getting a bill even though the tank has been unhooked for over 120 days now,,,,wow if I could give ZERO stars I would.
We have been incredibly frustrated with AmeriGas. We are on an auto refill plan but they NEVER auto refill for years now. So I keep checking and update my tank levels online and even when we are under 10% they don’t come out and I end up calling 7-10 days later BEGGING them to send someone. Three times we have been almost out of propane to the point that we don’t use our stove or hot water for fear of running out. Once we had an emergency order for propane and they guaranteed they would be out by next day. At the end of the day they called and said that the drivers shift was over and because we were last on the list he wasn’t going to make it to us. And this was for an EMERGENCY order! We are going to switch companies.
Please take this feedback seriously, as in our experience, your service sucked!! When you filled the wrong tank, as we have two feeds, our daily calls were painful and not helpful at all. Your promises of a fillip within 24-48 hours were lies! And when, after a full week of promises, you sent as a $300 bill for an attempted “emergency” tank fill up. We plan to change propane companies to anyone but AmeriGas!!
I cancelled my service 4 months ago. Despite contacting them multiple times, Amerigas has not yet removed their tank and they have continued to bill me. HORRIBLE customer experience. No local office to speak to. One star rating is generous!
Your propane is considerably more expensive than others. You didn't notify us you were coming to refill. We wouldn't know except the slip the driver put in the mailbox. Cost nearly $1000 which was an unexpected shock. Not in love with you.
Unfortunately I didn’t receive my delivery when I first requested online. Despite getting a confirmation and a delivery window my date came and went without any propane. I was told that the reason was that it was never scheduled. That seems like a pretty big potential problem if customers are just dropped off. In the end I did manage to finally have propane delivered before our tank ran out. So a crisis was averted. I don’t think running out of fuel would have been good for our new furnace.
I am renting an RV that's on my landlady's property, and it's on propane.  About 2 weeks ago, Amerigas delivered a full tank without her requesting it.  When I found out about the delivery and texted her, she got upset and said that she had not ordered gas, and they charged her card for it.  She closed out her account, and I opened one the same day, but did not order any propane.  I WAS TOLD TO WAIT UNTIL I GOT TO 20 GALLONS BEFORE PLACING ANOTHER ORDER.  Yesterday I got to 20 gallons, but before I could place an order, I received a past due bill no other bill prior.  Apparently they transferred over what my landlady already paid for. They told me that I have to pay that before I can order more.  When I explained that there must have been some mix-up, they went ahead and submitted a dispute to their billing dept.  I was told that now they will not deliver until that dispute is settled, and I will probably not hear from them for several days.  I called again today asking if I could order for today because I now have about 10 gallons left my fridge has turned off, I was told that an emergency delivery in the next 24 hours would also have a $300 "delivery fee" added on, and an emergency "delivery fee" of $200 added on for delivery in the next 72 hours.  I DID EXACTLY AS THEY TOLD ME, but because of them, I will now have to go without heat tonight in weather expected to hit 25°F.  I am 62, on social security, and have no idea how I am supposed to survive tonight, and they don't care! Amerigas, thanks for screwing me. FOLKS, PLEASE DO NOT USE AMERIGAS!
Seems no local person available to assit. You go to a national line.
