Was there 9/21/2022, the store was even more of a mess then usual. Racks everywhere, employees hanging out with two or three people. Some of them were actually acting like they were shopping instead of working. You see them on their cell phones. So many shelves were out of stock, shelves not properly labeled, some items on shelves were moldy, clearance aisle so disorganized. Items on shelves dirty, you go to an area and see items that don’t even belong in that area. And look at some of the choices of clothes. There were a couple of managers on the floor but they are of no help they are just as immature and lazy as some of the workers so they don’t enforce anything. Update visited 8/30/2023 just as bad, customer even yelled out does anyone work here, some of the male employees are creepy, store is still a mess, employees on cell phones, gossiping and nothing is on right shelf or priced correctly. They never should have gotten rid of the price checkers because it was convenient for the customers to use, good luck finding an employee and asking them for help. I try to avoid this location like a plague, just conveniently close by because of an appointment. Plus it was extremely busy with university and back to school shoppers, there was three registers open, they can have all those employees watching you checkout, put them on the registers, they are so worried about theft!
Great store very organized and great selection and a reasonable price
Associate named Patti helped me find a pair of shoes I lost after purchasing. She went above and beyond to help me. This level of customer service was greatly appreciated. She is such a kind soul, the world needs more people like her. Please recognize her for this as this made my day so much better as well as my experience with Walmart.
You need to train your cashier Michael on customer service! He saw I was purchasing a plant-based meat alternative and proceeded to tell me I was making the wrong choice and that vegan food is unhealthy. That is so rude to tell a customer! Especially since I have an education in nutrition and I’m compassionate towards animals. He kept complaining about it the entire transaction, despite me ignoring him. Shame on you! I work in customer service. You don’t see me complaining to customers who purchase animal flesh!
This location makes you wait for an hour for sales associates to assist you. & it doesn't matter how many times you push the button to help you because no one will come to assist you. The store is also very dirty.
Do my grocery shopping there. Store is neat and never out of anything on shelves. I just wish they had more of a meat selection at 6 a m.
Had to wait 20 minutes to get waited on in the jewelry section and the only reason why someone waited on me was because I yelled out customer needs attention in jewelry customer needs attention in jewelry. When we finally did get waited on it. So we had to wait another 20 minutes for a lady to come up to figure out the cost of the Ring. She said why would you want to buy this ring anyhow it's been used? I told her at that point well why do they have a ring in your display case that doesn't have a price on it if you can't sell it. That's when the lady said I don't get why you want this anyhow it's used. That's why I said excuse me mess I don't think I like your tone. We got the rings we wanted but it also came with a attitude I will never ever ever going to Walmart AKA China mart.
When you have to step inside a place avoided for years, since they are the only store with stock of what I was looking for. Parking lot and store rather messy. A holiday weekend may be why. Not sure.
I hardly go here I prefer Trader Joe’s. When did they stop bagging your groceries for you?? I only go early in the mornings right when they open but I’ve still encountered my fair share of weird strangers bothering me. There’s nothing special about this location. It’s constantly busy. I also don’t recommend buying any produce from here, especially fruits.
I have a love-hate relationship with Walmart. For certain items, non-food, Walmart is okay. Some electronics and office products, okay. Clothing is hit or miss, however, I have actually found some good clothing. However, this is not a place to shop if you want organic produce, or any quality produce. They could at least TRY to get some quality produce in there. Shelves have often been in disarray. However, there seems to be an improvement recently. Cashiers are slow with no standard for speed. Service at the fitting rooms often necessitate a long wait for an employee. Customer service in the electronics section has often been poor. E.g., If you need someone to come with a key to get a product out of one of the glass cases, be prepared to wait for a half hour. However, this seems to be better now. This particular store still checks receipts after purchase, at the door. There should not be a reason to check receipts after you go through checkout and pay for your items. You buy your items and they are yours. Period. I know of some Walmart stores that don’t do this anymore. And I don’t know any other retailers, in general, that do this. The product return process can be brutal. However, recently, I had an okay experience, but it was the only okay product return experience I’ve had. They are usually mean about it and treat you like a criminal for returning items. >>> Also, it would really look a lot nicer if they put new paneling on the exterior awnings after having removed it — like five years ago. Ugly. Make it look less ghetto. This is Amherst. <<< Overall a solid grade of C+/B-.
