The best Italian in the area I discovered this place not very long ago. It is amazing I have never had such good Italian before very reasonable prices and extremely kind staff . I have been here 3x since and every time is great we were waiting on service for a bit and the guy apologized and took our drinks off the bill! Very kind people I highly recommend coming here!
2.5/5. Was kind of a let down considering the great reviews surrounding this place. Had reservations at 7pm and got there 10 min early. We were taken to a table in the back— and upon the immediate realization that the place smelt like dishwater—we asked for a seat outside. The hostess rambled about 2 tables being open but saved for people who had reservations. Did we not also have a reservation? So, in dishwater we sat. We ordered the lasagna and the linguine alla vongole linguine with clams. Waitress told us in advance the lasagna would take a while, which we appreciated. The food really didn’t take that long to come out—maybe 20-25 min. The lasagna was good but I will say that I was really disappointed with the lack of fresh clams in the the linguine. Also want to add that our waters were never filled up even once the whole time we were there. Staff didn’t seem very friendly either—very judgey…of people they don’t even know. My boyfriend’s review: “Lasagna was good. Overall experience-super mid. Relatively cheap $60 in total.”
I am very disappointed with the portion and price of the food I ordered. I have ordered from The Touch of Italy and Otto’s and the portions were the size of the tin of Eggplant Parmigiana in this picture. Each order from those 2 restaurants came with a side of pasta, salad and bread, these dishes came with none of that. The Tripe had no taste, the Alfredo and Shrimp Diablo were half the size of the portions from the other restaurants. The portions were small but the bill was big, $120.71. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone nor will I eat there again. People I spoke to said the food was very good, so I figured I’d give them a try.
Visiting from out of state. Looking for a first rate experience with reasonable expectations. The restaurant was freezing cold and highly uncomfortable. Food was average at best. Party of 4 and several pieces of silverware at our table all had dried food still on them. Service was poor, and waitress didn't even apologize. Maybe this restaurant is good for the area, but where I'm from they wouldn't last long at all. Wasn't busy at all during peak time when we went, so maybe people are catching on. Major disappointment.
Food was very good. I had penne pasta with meat sauce covered with melted cheese. Excellent. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. My friend ordered vodka pasta. Also very good. One of the more pricey Italian restaurants, but quality food is worth the splurge every once in awhile.
Normally we have great food and service, this was not the case Saturday night. Called for a pickup order with over an hour i would before would be there; Food wasn't ready and didn't realized I didn't get my French onion soups untill I was home. Couldn't get through on the phone so had to drive back and and wait to got our Soups.. when looking at the veal parmaiga one looked fine other looks burned neglected.. not there best night for a roughly $150 order I expected better. Will be thinking again before our next order here if we do one.
What a find! A coworker who previously worked here recommended it. Open on Mondays! We will be back. We enjoyed banana peppers, tripe, Caesar salad, pasta la Norma and veal parm. Everything was delicious and not chain style food. Lots of vegetarian optins for me. The wine we had was amazing. Our server was sweet. Highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Plenty! Banana Peppers are meatless!
Love this restaurant! The food is delicious, the portions are quite generous and the staff is delightful. I shared an appetizer of clams cooked in a delicious spicy broth. Grouper Piccata was my entree and lunch the next day. It was out of this world scrumptious and so was the seafood stuffed Cod which I got to taste. And I do believe that they are open on Monday night which can be a challenging time to get a great meal. ENJOY!
Bravo. 5 stars all around. We chose Amici to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, and they didn't disappoint. The service was great. Dominic and the entire staff were friendly and attentive. The calamari was perfect, as was the arancini. The pork shank was perhaps the best dish I ever stuffed in my face. It was surrounded by real potato mashed potatoes and roasted carrots in the best tasting gravy, sauce, or demi I have tasted. No trip to a fine Italian restaurant is complete without cannolis. They were so good, my wife ate all 3. We can't wait to go back to Amici Ristorante.
We tried Amici Restorante on Elmwood Avenue last night and had an outstanding Italian dining experience. The ambiance was quite appealing, making for a very pleasurable evening. Our waitress ,Brandy, was congenial and very knowledgeable in advising us on our food and drink selections. My wife had the Eggplant Parmigians and I the Veal special of the evening. Both were prepared with perfection. My meat sauce was very good. The dessert we shared, Limoncello Mascarpone Cake, was decadent in flavor with a very pleasing finish to a wonderful meal. We will 100% be visiting this establishment again.
