This clinic has saved my life, I have a very bad substance abuse disorder this is 4th clinic I've been on Suboxone and methadone well I've come to realize that I am lifer I am sick of relapsing so I'll be on methadone rest of my life. Clinic is great most all counselors are very sincere and nurses are great follow the rules and eventually u do feel like it living a normal free life from the chase of dope or pills whatever ur demon is.. Thanks Ams..
I've been going to this facility for a year now and I couldn't be happier with my life and this facility! Every person here is professional and they all treat you like an actual person! The counselors are awesome and always here to help you. Also both ladies at the front desk are very good at there jobs!
The most unprofessional clinics and irresponsible staff that I have came across in my entire life. I came to the Onalaska clinic to guest dose from 800 miles away and a week prior, my counselor and I, from my home state faxed all my information they requested and the fax was received on the other end and we even took pictures to make sure we had all our bases covered. Well, long story short, the person I talked to never checked their fax machine because they were obviously busy sitting on a chair in front of a window not doing their job. So I came in and they didn't have a clue as to who I am and was unable to dose. She simply said sorry I can't help you, and took a drink off her coffee and told me to go call the nurses hotline maybe they can help. Have a nice day she said, I could not believe it. She was so cold and not even concerned. I hadn't seen my family in 12 years because I relocated for work and had to turn around and drive 12 hours back home without seeing my family because I was already starting to feel the sickness coming on. So, not only did it ruin seeing my family, it put me in a dangerous situation having to drive back home without dosing. It was a very long 12 hour 800 mile drive. So if you plan on guest dosing at this clinic, I would make sure that you have a back up plan of some kind. I would recommend trying other clinics and not this one. Good luck.
Let me see, where do I start ... How about the women who has replaced the permanent check in receptionist . I'm thinking that either there was not a very good turnout for the position as far as choices to pick from because she seems under qualified to be working as a receptionist for a clown camp let alone a treatment facility where she is required to remember details on a daily basis about the returning clients. To top it off she gives people an attitude right off the bat because she can't keep up with the stresses that go along with her daily work routine. She immediately reacts to others like she's better then them and does not take the time to LISTEN to us when we try to speak to her as if we do not have that right because we are there for treatment. I also think she could represent herself a bit more professional with her attire . Lead by example how can the establishment try to implement policies such as expecting the clients to come dressed in what would be business casual, no PJs they want us representable ie jeans and t-shirt, blouse or scrubs outfit of course clean and hopefully not omitting any offensive smell but yet the women who is the 1st site of the company basically the face of business because she is the one who is seen first and is required to handle all initial contact with clients or any other entering the facility not be held to the same standards. I would think that printed sweatshirts and leggings with open toed sandals would not be acceptable. Again just my opinion but sure does make sense... With that said this policy is the most violated by the clients and I believe this is because it isn't taken seriously by the counselors or other staff.
Great staff! Very helpful. I've been to a few clinics and this is by far the best one I've been to! It smells and feels like a real clinic, NOT just a dosing clinic. The staff is incredible! They care about you. I have to drive 2 1/2 hours one way to come here when I can go to a place that is 30 miles away but I prefer to come here because of the staff and the clinic itself. They make it safe here also. Its the only place I've been to that has camera's. And I've gotten robbed before at other clinics. I recommend this clinic to anyone who is trying to get off of drugs, the non in-patient way. Thank you AMS for being such an amazing clinic for people who need help, wish there were more clinics out there like AMS!
I recently contacted this clinic about possibility of transferring from my current place. I sent an email, and literally within the hour I was getting a call back from staff and she was so very kind and helpful. If this is an indication of how this clinic runs and the people who run it I am completely impressed and I really hope I can make a change soon for myself. Thank you . She spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me and went out of her way to make sure to answer any and all questions I had. She never once made me feel embarrassed or ashamed of my situation in life right now, she only encouraged me to continue and try my best to make positive changes whether I come to their clinic or wherever I end up being.
Amazing place! Changed my life for the better. You yourself have to do the work and they are there for YOU to utilize. Trying to become sober was impossible task until I came here. I cannot imagine my life with out the help of this place! Great thanks to my counselor Jenny who is amazing!! I had a bad view of methadone clinics until coming here.Im going on three years there! I enjoy the rewards of 2week take homes which I worked hard to earn by remaining sober for almost 3years:- I would not have my kids, my home, job, and off probation if not for this program!! Thank you AMS!!!
I've been at AMS for 3 and 1/2 years and they helped me so much with my recovery, without my counselor I don't think I would of made it this far. Ultimately the addict has to do the work but it's extremely helpful when you have the support that you need to do the work. Thank you again AMS and all the wonderful staff for believing in us!!!!
Amazing place. Wonderful counsellors and staff. Everyone is so friendly and understanding. The treatment works wonders for those that are serious about their recovery. They have saved my life. I wouldn't have survived without their help. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your help, knowledge and support in getting myself and countless others on track to recovery. We need more places like this available in this area.
Clinics in Eau Claire Wi and Wausau should take some advice from this clinic. •The staff are willing to help you and want to help. •They do not try to create a problem out of something small. •There is privacy for the patients. •There are no stop doses unless its absolutely needed •First clinic that doesn't want me to stay there for the rest of my life •THEY HAVE A TICKET/LINE system that actually works • I will put it this way, I live in Eau Claire and I go everyday to Onalaska just so I don't have to deal with the stress of Eau Claire's clinic •Once again Eau Claire's clinic is just a stress everyday. I just spoke to a patient and that said he has anxiety thinking about going.
