Jaw is now ruined and chronic headaches is what you’ll get. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!  Late November I took my daughter to get her four wisdom teeth extracted. Long story short, my daughter has been getting headaches. We didn’t know why until recently when she told me her jaw grinds which makes a loud sound when she chews. She thought that was normal and would eventually heal. I called Amsterdam oral surgery to tell them what happened. They had us come in only to take an X-ray, tell me she looks fine and sometimes jaws are out of place for no reason at all and has nothing to do with the tooth extraction they did. They also left part of a wisdom tooth which is causing her pain. We have an appointment with a real Dr to see if he can help get her jaw back into place. Do not take your kids here. This place is unprofessional and filthy. The outside of the building is an indicator or what’s inside.

I had a really good experience, which is hard to do for people getting oral surgery, not doing something generally easy like reviewing eating at a restaurant. I've had teeth extracted before at other offices that seemed upscale, but then bled and bled. Not the case with Amsterdam Oral Surgery. It was really clean, attentive, and professional all the way. Dr. Weiss made sure I was comfortable and waited where needed before continuing the process. The building kind of looks like an industrial factory, but once inside it is even really cool and clean, art and other unusual shops line the hallway. It's not intimidating at all. Any anxiety is not even necessary. The staff is great!

I had 2 top wisdom teeth extracted and was put under due to anxiety about the extraction. My boyfriend said I was only gone about 40 minutes then a nurse came out told him to bring the car around. They then wheeled me out still FULLY UNCONSCIOUS. He and the nurse lifted me from the wheelchair and put me in the car. I have no recollection of this. I didn’t wake up until almost an hour later. I do not think this is right. I was not expecting to wake up in my car whatsoever. If they are SO BUSY that a patient can’t recover in a room in the office then they should be rescheduled for a less busy day. This was my first time being anesthetized and I definitely did not expect to come to in my car. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Will never go here again for anything. Luckily my boyfriend took me to the closest hospital and monitored my breathing, and was ready to bring me in the ER if anything went wrong. If you go here for anything DO NOT get anesthetized unless you have someone to very closely monitor you, because the staff at Amsterdam Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center doesn’t have the time to do their jobs correctly.  I will say the male nurse was very nice and tried to make me feel better when the doctor kept missing my veins for the IV. That took 3 tries.

I had to get 8 teeth pulled. 4 wisdom. And 4 others. They were so fast and professional. They helped with my anxiety and the staff was so friendly. I would definitely go there again. I am so happy with the results. Thank you Dr. Weiss!

Ignore the bad reviews please. I’ve been seeing DR.Weiss for years now, he’s done all my oral surgeries and I’ve never had any issues. He’s very fast, very warm and very good at what he does. The staff is also incredible. I came here to leave a good review and I’m just shocked by some of the bad reviews. This is one of the very best places to go for any dental needs! The staff at the desk is so rude. They have no sympathy for what you or going through. If you don’t like people or are that miserable then find a job that better fits you.  And if they tell you your appointment is one time make sure you fully confirm. Cause I guess they have the right to change it hours before without confirmation with you. If you looking for a warm welcoming oral surgeon. I would look elsewhere. Cause it’s definitely lacking hospitality.

My 12 year old had a few impacted adult teeth. my boy never had this invasive of a procedure and the staff was so gentle and so kind to my baby. The nurses were so personable and the Dr. . Stephanie answered all my questions! I can’t say enough great things about them! TY so much for making this a comfortable experience!

Secretary is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I had missed two appointments, the first was due to myself being COVID POSITIVE, and the second because their office was Said to be closed according to their hours listed online. I had called to confirm, however nobody answered the phones. When I received a call back I was greeted with disrespect and blamed for not leaving a voice-mail. When I had confronted her about nobody answering the phones she stated everyone was on break. I'm still not sure how that makes it my fault? However, fast forward to now I still haven't gotten my wisdoms removed, I called to schedule since they were referred AGAIN. Unlucky me had received the same secretary who said she BLOCKED me from being a patient and had tried to tell me I had cussed her out during our last phone call, which to my disbelief is a complete lie! I reminded her that she had HUNG UP on me during the phone call and the only response I got is theres nothing she can do. Very disappointing and from previous reviews I'm not the only person who has had an issue with her.

I've been waiting months for an appointment for something I needed done months ago. They called me at 3:47 to let me know there was an opening, seemingly intentionally not giving me enough time to take their offer, since they close at 4. I lost my only opportunity to get something done, that should already be getting done. Now, when I finally do go to my appointment, it'll just be a consultation, where I have to pay money to have them tell me the same exact thing the last 2 dentist i paid for nothing to tell me. Then I'll probably have to wait months to get the actual surgery done, that my original dentist told me needed to get done  NOW  which was months ago. I feel like they're playing games with my health, and taking money for no reason. On top of this, when they finally do give me my surgery, Ill just have to hope and pray they don't leave me in more pain than I'm already in.

The surgery office is in a sketchy looking building, but once inside it changes like when Dorothy landed in Oz  very professional and clean space. The staff always treats me with respect. The surgeon dude is cool and funny. I hate having sharp objects in my mouth but this place really good at what they do and help me with the surgery anxiety.
