In August of 1966, Ronald Andersen and his brother, Gordon, decided to start a milk production venture. In order to find a market, they decided to process and distribute their own milk. They started processing in Vancouver, Washington, but soon outgrew the facilities. Ron decided to stay with the milk plant and Gordon continued to produce milk on the farm. In August 1967, Ron purchased the Clark County Dairymen's plant and equipment in Battle Ground, Washington. He acquired three stores in the Vancouver area and started one inside the Andersen Dairy Plant, which is still open today. He started packaging in glass bottles, later converting to paper containers, and then to plastic bottles.
Ron started his first plastic blow-molding in 1980. Today, he has three blow-molding locations in the Battle Ground & Brush Prairie, Wash. area.
At our Battle Ground Dairy Plant facility, fresh milk is delivered daily & processed into pasteurized and homogenized milk varieties. After processing, it is bottled into our half-gallon and gallon plastic milk bottles, labeled, and then shipped to our many retail locations. You can find our milk at our local store and many WinCo Foods locations throughout Washington and Oregon.
Here at Andersen Dairy and Andersen Plastics, we are involved in every step of the process; from the plastic beads the bottles are formed with all the way to the delicious milk and juice products found on your local store shelves.
