Better than Greenwood Mall but not great. It has my main favorite stores though and that's good, I just haven't gone in months because of the shooting lol
Retro Gaming Lounge is a great place to play old and new school video games. They are located in the food court at the Anderson Mall. The owners are there during business hours and welcome everyone who comes in. The price of admission is $12.50 per hour per person and they host birthday parties. This is a really cool and nostalgic place if you grew up playing video games. They are also a small local business who helps their community. Check them out you won't be disappointed.
My husband was able to find two pair of shoes that fit him well and that he likes, one for work and one for casual. The young ladies that checked us out were very friendly and courteous. We shopped at Rack Room.
In Anderson Mall there is A really cool store called the Game Cache they buy/sell video games, game consoles, controllers, pretty much anything that has to do with video gaming. They have a huge selection of new and old games for all you hardcore gamers.
I feel bad not giving it more stars but we all know mall culture is done. This place was sad. It was like a memory of a mall. Like the south park episode except people didn't even harass you at the kiosks bc they knew you weren't buying their bath bombs bc you were likely going to the only 2 stores that anyone got to anymore the dreaded hot topic for kids and the over priced books a million. It was very depressing but the staff at the mall Santa were very friendly. The bourbon chicken at the food court was good. I bet this was a thriving place 15 years ago.
Went to Dillards and shopped for my SWEETIE . The sales people are so knowledgeable and kind. They found everything I asked for. I really enjoy shopping there.
My experience with this mall was a positive one. It was clean, has a small food court with cafeteria style food and some decent retailers, but it does suffer from what most malls nowadays do. 1/3 if not Half of the storefronts are empty, and the empty abandoned wing of the mall where the sears used to be is a reminder that malls are on the decline. The atmosphere around 2:00 on a Thursday was fair, people were in the mall but it could be a little eerie later during the day.
Needs to get more stores and come alive again. As well as high end stores, add a discount department store like the old k-mart or Hills. A small pharmacy would be a plus too. Had all these in our mall in Syacuse NY. Oh yes a movie theater was at the mall too.
Nearly every store was closed by 7pm on a Thursday. Books a Million closed at 8, but we were hovered over and stalked by the two female employees starting at a quarter til; we felt so uncomfortable that we left. I typically spend a few hundred dollars on new books, but will gladly take my business elsewhere since BAM apparently doesn't want to make any money!
Dillard's is the only store we usually go to. Great selection of men's clothes.
