Dr. Kessler is an American Board of Ophthalmology certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing comprehensive ophthalmology in Carroll County since 1990. Dr. Kessler routinely performs advanced cataract surgery, along with the treatment of many eye diseases including cataract, glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration.

Dr. Kessler has been the leader in bringing advanced eye surgery to Carroll County. In 1993, he became the first surgeon in Carroll County to perform refractive surgery. He has successfully performed thousands of cataract surgery procedures. He was the first surgeon to perform stitch-less, small incision cataract surgery at Carroll Hospital Center. In July 2005, he became the first surgeon in Carroll County to implant the ReSTOR and Rezoom multifocal lens implants.
