Excellent, authentic burgers just how I like them: Unpretentious and allowing the meat to shine. I found the prices reasonable for the quality of the product, despite many reviews to the contrary. This will be a go-to spot for me.
I just tried a single cheeseburger and I’m pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It tasted pretty similar to a shoe shack burger. Delicious!!
The chicken sandwich is really good, but would pass on the Mac and cheese bites next time
Great burger, delicious thick shake and the chili was rich and hardy BUT the price is fn ! As food taste wise its a perfect burger, but it is priced out of it location, presentation and ambiance as this is a steakhouse fine dining sit down waiter service burger price.
The hamburgers are great! Fresh grilled meat with a nice Martin's potato bun. Not dry and not too rare - perfectly grilled. Perfect size portion for lunch too. Traditional toppings of lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. All fresh. Nice to have a burger joint in the neighborhood. The fries were nice and crispy. The chocolate milkshake was absolutely delicious. Not a fan of the egg cream. Would definitely return for a burger and shake...maybe even try the hotdog.
Best burger and fries in New York hands down. Perfectly made on a fluffy scrumptious potato role with a side of crispy fries and service with a smile always! Don’t forget the chocolate shake... Just too good!
DELICIOUS BURGER! I lived in this neighborhood for a year and it's my first time trying them. I'm so mad at myself that I didn't give them a try. The burger is very juicy! The meat, bread, and the toppings are amazing. This is way better than $20 to $30+ burgers in fancy restaurants. I'm a very picky person when it comes to food, but this place is gonna be my favorite. Def the best burger place in Kensington! Also, the guy taking the order was very nice and kind.
The food is really not worth the high prices. Came here for the mac and cheese items but they weren't available so we got onion rings and a grilled cheese sandwich. The onion rings were average. The portion size is small, I think there were maybe 6-8 rings in the bag. The grilled cheese sandwich was such a huge ripoff. For $6 I got half of a typical grilled cheese sandwich. The bread slices they used were incredibly small. It's like the size of my palm and I have small hands. Also, it's literally just cheese and bread, there's nothing special added so I just don't understand how this is $6. For $2 more I could've gotten a burger… but judging from the other reviews, even that isn't worth it.
Avoid. Takeout was missing half of the ingredients, it wasn’t properly cooked and you can see the size... This for $17 is a joke.
STRAIGHT FROM A MOVIE SET, more or less, Andrew’s is a highly faithful rendering of NYC soda fountains that were dated in the 1960s. The seats are counter stools, naturally, and a walk-up window is a fine place to order a pretty good Andrew’s burger while waiting for the Daily News truck to drop off the Nite Owl edition.
