Some years ago, if you walked into a grocery store, more than likely you would deal with the owner, or a grocery clerk who took an interest in you. You would tell that person what you wanted, and he or she would pull those items from the shelves for you. When you were done, he or she would package your purchases up and you would be on your way. Some years ago, if you walked into a butcher shop, you would also probably deal with the owner there too. You would tell the butcher what you wanted and he or she would cut your meat fresh off the bone, package it up and you would be on your way. Old fashioned service!
I am a CPA with years of experience, since 1977, in the preparation of income tax returns and providing accounting services. Back when I started, clients would come into the office and talk to and go over their tax situation with their preparer. In those days, the accountant would go to the client’s place of business. These days, people do not see their accountant very often, I am Andy Duchan, CPA , and I set regular meetings with clients and meet with them face to face. Old fashioned service!
