Dr. Joe Barbosa acquired the Animal Hospital of Hallandale in 1993. The hospital was established by Dr Sherryl Ward in 1964.
Dr. Joe Barbosa is a brazilian veterinary who acquired the Animal Hospital of Hallandale in 1993 from Dr. Ward, and has been serving the community since 1963.
Dr. Barbosa received his veterinary degree from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1980. In 1987, he took the intensive post-graduate course in Clinical Veterinary Medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. In 1990 he became licensed to practice in the state of Florida.
Through the years, as a general practitioner, Dr. Barbosa has attended various continuing education courses and seminars including advanced dentistry, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. He speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently. He and his staff welcome new and current clients with a friendly smile and excellent service and look forward to serving your pet's health care needs.
