I've heard for an inexpensive, tasty breakfast, the local Anita's chain is worth checking out. Overall, it didn't disappoint. We were tempted to do takeout, but the morning was quiet so we sat down for breakfast. I didn't know quite what to expect for the size, so I went with three burritos which worked out well. I had the basic BB, the Big Guy, and the Adovado. Big Guy might have been my favorite, though I'd love to try more of their options.
Convenient location. My grandparents love this restaurant and have eaten here for years. We stopped in on our way home out of state to pick up food for them. Fast and easy to order.
The two employees working the front of the house the night we came in did a fantastic job. They were hustling between tables, making drinks, while apologizing for being understaffed. We told them they were doing great. My partner and I had the fried ice cream and the churros and both were delicious.
I just ordered from here about an hour ago for a takeout order of carne fajitas and I literally on my three pieces of steak. I’ve been here once before for breakfast and it was an even worse experience. There are endless other places to eat in the area—try those.
We used Anita’s catering for our holiday party yesterday and it was so amazing, I had to call and order six additional platters as we were running out of food. The entire staff from the manager Erica to the people preparing the food were amazing. We will for sure use them again for future catering events. Catering director Tiffany was so easy to work with and made sure everything was good to go day of party.
Sloppy good comfort meal. Good service and the smothered chicken chimichanga and refried beans with green chili sauce was so good. The chicken wasn’t dried out flavorless pulled white meat. Chips and salsa were fine, not as good as guapos. Definitely want to come back for breakfast.
USED to absolutely love anitas in general. But changing the soup from 1.99 to 9.80, yeah that is super sad especially since it is not a bowl but more or less two cups... As a matter of fact, when I first started I did 3 stars because I have love for this place. I don't even think three stars cuts it for such a HARD price adjustments. It now cost over 25+ for 3 soups
The name states "new style", well it is new and different, but not in a good way. Salsa was worse I've ever had; it was a watery tomato sauce with chunks of tomato. It was more like an Italian sauce. No onions, peppers, or spices - just salt, and maybe some oregano ?. Main dish was mediocre at best, nothing like I'd expect Mexican food to be. It was covered in a yellow cheese sauce that was unexpected. I would not return.
Terrible. Nasty, shame to be called food. To go portions are small. The food is obviously prepared ahead of time and then oven in the little metal tray, the tray is hotter than the food. Greasy and way too salty. Tortillas seems to be the generic store brought ones. Right after eating the whole party stomach started to have slight discomfort. Honestly the worst place I have eaten in a long time. I don’t really care about services, but if you care, they are ehh, people working there doesn’t seem like they care if you’re there or not.
Moral of the Story: "¡Ahí está el detalle! Que no es lo uno ni lo otro, sino todo lo contrario". Mario Moreno, Cantinflas Translation: this restaurant missed the point! FOOD: Guacamole Dip: Flavors were dull. Big pieces of onion spoiled the main star of the dish, the Guacamole. Never overshine the main actor or you will lose the main part. You must "become one with the Guacamole." Pico de Gallo side. No flavors at all. House Dressing: HYPERTENSION ALERT!! So salty the Devil would be proud. The Taco salad was decent. But the cheeses used seemed not fresh. Tasted like bulk cheese you buy at one of the members only stores. The enchilladas: Meat was acceptable. The rest of dish was ok. Sad that this modern take on such great history of dishes doesn't represent any of the delicious and spectacular Mexican cuisine. In short, "definitivamente" need to ramp up the quality control on dishes and ingredients used. I've been there before and food was much better. Sadly, the current experience was sad. Those vibrant tastes in my previous visit were no where to be found. No coherent flavors or ingredients. The light was on but not shining where it should. Bathrooms: Clean Prices: high due to food we received. Why then so high stars? Customer Service. But as a famous book says, "Not only from Customer Service shall humans live."
