The Ankeny Alley has become a central meeting spot for Portland native’s, recent transplants, and hoards of tourists walking around Water Front and 3rd St. The closure has turned one of Portland’s more problematic areas into a destination spot, cultural landmark, and great use of public space.
But we’ve only just begun! We are trying to bring together our community, to recognize the good created in this tiny spot, and hopefully keep it car-free and illuminated.
Please post pictures, comments, and discussions regarding your appreciation for the space and why it has the ability to permanently change the face of Old Town.
We so appreciate all your support. Share it with everyone!
