Annandale Dental Care

The dentist was great and very gentle. However, when I first registered I specifically asked whether this practice was taking NHS patients and confirmed this with the receptionist IN PERSON about 3 times. I was then booked in for a check up appointment a month later and asked to pay a £30 deposit for this and told that any treatment required would use this £30. I again confirmed that this was an NHS appointment. Today I went in for my appointment and after was told that I need to pay £12 for my x rays. I told them that I am an NHS patient and have already paid £30 as a deposit for the appointment. They then told me that this practice doesn’t take NHS patients and that I am a private patient and must pay. They said that “someone gave me the wrong information”. I am lucky enough to have the money to pay for this appointment but it’s completely unacceptable to change this around after I specifically asked multiple times. I was not given any way of challenging this or escalating further. It’s just completely ridiculous and unacceptable and quite frankly it’s stealing from patients who have basically admitted to not being able to pay private fees. The receptionist was dismissive and obviously didn’t know how to handle the situation as she was new and told me it was none of her business what happened before she started. Honestly a really disappointing experience from what was a good dental appointment.

Absolutely disgraceful service since being taken over from Mr. SIM. The second dental appointment messed up. Arrived today for a 3pm appointment prebooked by the practice, not me. To be told, on arrival, there were no dentists available, and they had no record of the application that they made for me!!!!!!

Amazing dental practice, I was a nervous patient and I have neglected my teeth but decided to go to get my teeth fixed, I am still getting treatment but within a couple of weeks I can see and feel the difference, the dentist was very understanding and was not judgemental to my teeth but both of the dentists have encouraged me to return which I will, lovely staff too. Thankyou for giving me back my smile.
