Happy to work close to this little gem! Coworker suggested it for lunch yesterday and we are all happy she did. I had the shrimp and wing combo and it was delicious. I would totally recommend them come out with a Po Boy cause I would order one everyday. The shrimp is so good. I was a bit sad that my combo only had 3 wingettes but they give more shrimp so it was a balance. Sweet tea complimented the meal. We called ahead and it was hot and ready by the time we pulled up.
I was giving someone a ride one day and passed this place and the person told me about it. So later that day I had some free time and was still in the area. So why not give it a shot. So I went up there. No line at all. I thought that was not a goodnsivn but I think they had just opened. And shortly after someone else came up. Didnt really k kw what to order so I got wings and a burger meal. The wings were decent. I didnt get to eat them. Fresh. Got it for 2ic.. and she forgot about the plate. The steak burger I had was decent. I heard they had great burgers. I did enjoy it. So I am looking forward to go back and try something different.
Great place to get food. Love the old-school walk-up window to place orders and the quick service with better prices than any other fast food place. I will eat here every time on that side of town.Food: 4/5
Service is good . Atmosphere or parking could be better. I look at prices and noticed the difference between a 7pc and 8pc wing basket. They charge a whole dollar for 1 for an extra wingette. Then they charge an extra fee to have your wings flavored. Personally I think they are robbing the people in the neighborhood they serve because it’s convenient !!
The food here is hot and good. I've only had the wings twice so far. I will definitely be going again. I'll try something different next time.Food: 5/5
I love this place. It is a Columbia, SC landmark. The prices are cheap..And the food is fresh and hot. I like the hot dogs and I always get the mixed Livers and Gizzards.Food: 5/5
I love this place, kept me fed when I was in college in the 80's!! Still keepin me fed!Food: 5/5
I drove by today and seen they had gizzards for sale. I was in a mood and decided to go back and try it. Simple menu, several southern delicacies offered here, gizzards, livers, chicken wings, and hot dogs. I ordered my food, the gizzards, the lady did not tell me how long the wait would be so I stood outside. There are no tables or chairs so you will stand up. While I am standing there a local drunk rides by on a bike, literally stopped, got off his bike and came up to me. He was cordial and respectful enough, but he dis end it by asking me was I married and to watch out out here. Whatever that means. I told him to have a good day. Shortly after that someone else walked by and asked me did I have any cash to spare. I expected these things to happen, it is off of Two Notch Rd...it took 9 min to get my food which is phenomenal! The food was cooked on the spot. The tea was really sweet and they didn't over fill it with ice. The gizzards were awesome! Nice light crispy outside. The fries tasted homemade. Very soft though, which is how I like mine, so...$5 min to use debit card, no refunds. I gave this place a 3 despite the great food experience because there is no where to sit while you wait, and the outside is not maintained. It IS a hole in the wall joint though, soo....I would go back again.
This place is one of the oldest but tasty spots of Columbia. Everything is good. I wish they delivered!!
I wanted to taste the gizzard but I wanted the livers to. So I got the mixed basket.. now I got today and lunch for tomorrow... Very tasty and crunchy.
