I travel all the way from Chilliwack to have Apex perform all of our pets surgeries. Dr Rana does an excellent job and is compassionate, honest and fair. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. We have had only good experiences at this clinic. 5 stars
I'm incredibly lucky to have found this establishment. The veterinarian here is spectacular. He is thorough & very considerate of cost of care. My dog had recently started having constant seizures. It has been quite frightening to see. However it's been relieving to have Dr. Rana guide me through this scary time.
Dr. Rana is THE BEST, NO QUESTION! I want to share our story in hopes it makes a difference for other families out there. Rani, our fur baby princess, got a lesion on Christmas Day. We took her to an ER vet. On the ultrasound they found a large mass 8cm in diameter attached to her spleen and a 9cm mass that appeared attached to her aorta. They told us she had 2 weeks to live. Looking at her she expressed zero signs of suffering. So we got a second, third and fourth opinion. Dr. Rana was the 4th. He reviewed her file and said 'maybe they are wrong, there are multiple ways to interpret this ultrasound'. We agreed to exploratory surgery, which revealed that in fact the second tumour was attached to the first and considered 'free floating'. They removed the tumours and spleen. They documented everything and keeping us informed every step of the way. We had a follow up ultrasound 3 months later and she was free of any tumours. THE BEST! It's now 6 months and she still behaves like a puppy!
Help with my dog that needed immediate attention after walnut grove animal hospital said they wouldn’t be able to help with any hope for my animal to survive. Apex said they would do everything they could with the best available price to help anywhere.
Called and was able to make an appointment for the next day. Front desk staff was welcoming, kind and helpful. Didn’t have to wait long to see the vet, he was awesome. Thorough but didn’t try to upsell. They all handled my cat with care gave her excellent treatment and being a first time cat guardian he gave me a lot of helpful information. It’s a bit of a drive from home but worth it! They also do a lot of work with animal rescue organizations. Tip* make an appointment earlier in the day so you’re less likely to be kept waiting. If you’re looking for a new vet I would give them a chance!
We drive all the way from Downtown Vancouver to Langley just to see Dr. Rana and his team. We have been going to this clinic for nearly 20 years and can tell you everyone on staff is caring, attentive, and will give you the best advice. I have seen on many occasions Dr. Rana provide advice and/or medication with little to no cost so certainly money is not a motivator for him; just providing top notch care for your pets is.
DON'T GO THERE IF YOU HAVE A BIRD. My poor parrot had been throwing up all night, took him there because it was the only clinic in the area that apparently treats bird. The man doesn't know a thing about birds. We had to wait for ages despite having an appointment. Dr.Rana finally came in, asked if he bites, I said he does. Went to look for a towel. Took like half an hour "looking for it", I could hear he took some personal calls, brought a dirty towel with cat hair, grabbed him, felt him up, just said his crop was empty. Prescribed some metronidazole. Said he was going to get it and we'd give the first dose together. Took another half hour +, we went out to look for him. He never came back, instead we were told by another person that the medicine was up front. They were just going to have me pay and leave, so I asked if we were going to give the first dose together as he had said. The woman up front who was nice has no training in bird handling, couldn't give to him. I had to wrap him and she gave him part of it and he threw it up immediately. The doctor came, zero compassion just said to try giving him the medicine again when I got home. Useless. Next day took him to Night Owl Bird Hospital in Vancouver they said he was on the verge of dying. He needed immediate hydration and had to be hospitalized. If I had continued with just that medication, my child would've died. Don't bring birds there, just make the trip to Vancouver. They actually know what they're doing
So I took my rat there cause she was have problems with he private area and all he did was try push back and say there nothing to be done. Yet we call any other vet and they said we have two options to fix her private area l. The two options surgery. He try pushing back in bare hand. She was shaking bad in my hands. He told us to just take her home and wait for her to die. She did not die luck. WE DONT RECOMMEND THIS VET ALL HE CARE ABOUT IS MONEY AND NOT THE ANIMALS
STAY AWAY!! Short white woman with black curly hair is COLD & HEARTLESS! Thinking she is the owner and veterinarian, as there was no other staff. Business was empty of customers. My husband and I stopped in as they are very close to where we live. It was an emergency as our small dog was swarmed by bees and bitten 3 times in the park and her face, eyes, mouth and paw were swelling fast. She saw my dog as I was holding her and this woman bluntly stated, "I Don't Have Time To See Her Today" no customers and parking lot was empty This was an emergency and she could see my dog was having a bad allergy attack and that her face was swelling fast but didn't even have the heart to take a quick look at her. This woman made our blood run cold and we were shocked that this person turned away an animal in distress. She should have her license revoked. If my dog died, I would have sued her for negligence and animal cruelty! We rushed our beautiful dog to the Langley 24 hour emergency hospital and they got her in right away and gave her an antihistamine and steroid, kept her for an hour and once the swelling started to come down around her throat, they said we could take her home. She is doing well now...thanks to caring and loving people! I DO NOT RECOMMEND APEX ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! STAY AWAY!! EVEN BAD REVIEWS ON FACEBOOK! SHAME ON THAT WOMAN
