The staff are helpful and friendly. The tools will not be cleaned, however. Many places that do sharpening also clean the tools up as part of the service, but Apex Saw & Tool most definitely does not do this at all. The sharpening is not especially well-done - it clearly is something they don't spend much time on and do a very quick job on the tools to get them out as quickly as possible. Prices are average.
I recently visited Apex Saw & Tool and was blown away by the level of service and the quality of the products they offer. , I was greeted by a friendly gal named Marcy and she helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Marcy was to answer all of my questions and even provided me with some useful tips. The prices are reasonable and they deliver to Tahoe. Apex for the win!
Took my chainsaw in to get the blade sharpened and have the blade put back on the saw took it home used it for 30 seconds and the chain came off cut my leg. I brought it back to get the chain put on and all of a sudden they say my tensioner is broken. These people broke my equipment and will not fix it. Well then refund my money.
The staff at Apex is knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices are unbeatable. Jennifer helped me find exactly what I needed and provided excellent service.
Be careful with this place, they’ll overcharge you. So my sons foreman suggested I buy my son a siding nail gun for his birthday, he sent me a picture of it and it was 329.00, I took his advice and a week later I went in to try to buy it, it was still 329.00, so I bought it but didn’t notice till I got home that they changed me 350.00 for it, when I confronted them they said that the price had gone up 20.00 , too bad I live too far and wasn’t gonna make it on time before they closed, but I checked other places and their average price was 324.00-335.00, so either they robbed me and didn’t want to admit it cause it would look bad for business or they over price their tools. First and last time I’ll be going there, and I’ll definitely not recommend.
This place rocks for tool selection and service. I hate going to the big box stores and LOVE the service at Apex! Wish I lived closer or they would open up a location in Carson City.
Apex is the best tool store in the valley, hands down. You won’t find service like this at big box or corporate run stores.
Looks to have an excellent selection of tools in stock. Poor service though, left without buying. Update: spoke to a representative over text so now at 3 from 1 star. Said they would work on the issues I pointed out.
Great customer service, friendly, very knowledgeable. Bob, the sharpener, is military veteran who is keen on caring about his fellow vets. When I first came in, I showed him an item that needed cleaning. He said he could not do that cleaning. When I picked up my items, Is aw that he had sharpened, sealed AND cleaned the item in question, at no charge! All my items are razor sharp and ready for work. Thank you!
