My iPhone 13 phone screen was heavily damaged. I needed to get my iPhone unlocked so I could back it up to the iCloud--so that I could use the backup to restore a replacement iPhone. Yes, I should have backed it up before the accident. But the Apple Store genius bar employee was not too interested in helping with my problem. He said the device was too heavily damaged to replace the screen in order to allow me to use my device as needed. It was suggested that I mail my iPhone to a third party company for data recovery. Problem was solved by taking the phone to uBreakiFix in Austin---they installed a temporary replacement screen--backed up the device to the iCloud after unlocking the device and then I restored new phone from the iCloud back up. The genius bar employees are not interested in solving client problems if they are not the standard Apple user complaint.
I have one word: beware I have a Macbook Pro. I dumped a water bottle into my backpack and ruined it. The thing won't start and there is water in the screen. Luckily, I had Apple Care. Unluckily, I brought it to the Barton Creek Apple Store. The place is a hike from my house, but I show up and ask to get it fixed. The guy working is super nice, takes notes and everything. He makes notes about the thing not starting and about the water in the screen. He says it will be 2+ weeks before it can be fixed. I leave it there. Much to my surprise, I get a call less than a week later saying my laptop is ready to go. Excitedly, I jump in the car and head over. I get there. They hand me my laptop. It starts up. The screen is still full of water. They didn't fix the screen. I ask how could they have missed this. They say it wasn't in the notes shouldn't matter, it's obvious. We open the notes, it's the first item. They say to come back and get it fixed again. I don't want to drive back out there, but agree as it's my only option. Worst part is, they wouldn't let me leave without ponying up the $300 deductible. Now, I have to go back. They say they can fix the screen on the spot, but I'm doubtful. On top of that, I have no idea how long I have before my time expires to come in. I try to call to get an answer. Nothing. You get Apple HQ when you call first and when they try to forward you to Barton Creek, the phone disconnects. It is nearly impossible to get them on the phone. Do not go.
Seen a lot of good reviews about this place, sad to say I can’t say the same. I came in to pick up a laptop repair order, that I placed a few weeks ago, which was frankly really expensive, but hey I get it, it’s apple What really made the experience awful was the customer service. When I got to the store I was told they were having trouble tracking down my order - no worries, things like this happen all the time. So I waited patiently, and soon I made it past closing for the store. No one spoke to me, no one asked what I was doing, no update on what happened to my laptop, nothing. Just radio silence for a solid hour. Even had someone push a chair in front of me and try to clean up the place, look directly at me and straight away. It’s pretty disheartening when things like this happen. I hope other’s get better service in the future
Spent 2 hours just for them to say they cannot replace a battery because someone else had previously replaced it. It was missing the tape tab you pull on to take the battery out A Genius was foiled by the lack of something to grab. Use a guitar pic like everyone else. They won’t sell you just a battery. Apple just wants to sell you a new phone.
I am so disappointed in the Apple store. I have a pair of second generation AirPods. I had them almost for nine months. They have not been working correctly. I’ve called Apple 800 and they diagnosed it over the phone. Saying that they’re not working. That was the first time I went to the Apple store and they said they could not find anything wrong with it that they couldn’t do anything. I came back home they still did it I called the 800 number again tech. They also said it’s not working to take it back to the store and they will put it in notes. When they diagnosed it at the store they said that they couldn’t do anything about it. Even though they would not connect and the right ear plug was not working. They told me they sent out to get it fixed somewhere in California. They came back they still didn’t work. They sent me my original pair back. The third time that I went Barton Creek store. They are rude they don’t care. And I still have a broken pair that is still under warranty that they will not give me another pair. They don’t care they even told me get a load of this. That they said that they didn’t have any second generation AirPods to give me a replacement.
4 separate genius employees don't care. Took iPhone in at appointed time of 3 pm for battery repair. Expected completion time 5 pm. Starting at 4:52 pm, I check with genius employee for status. At 5 pm I was told battery replacement is done and in a few min someone will be out with the phone. 4 more times I asked for status and each time I was told to sit and wait. Finally I got to a manager who said there is miscommunications and phone was ready but no one bothered to check despite me asking 4 employees, I don't think the manager cares much either. Picked up phone at 5:50 when phone was ready at 5:00
I went there with an appointment to get my iPhone 12 Pro screen fixed. They made me sit there for an hour just to tell me I had to wait another hour to get my phone Fixed. I communicated to the guy I couldn't wait this long to please give me a replacement for $100, I have APPLE CARE, and apple support said I can always do this as long I can afford the price. The guy at the store told me they couldn't do that since they had to inspect my phone for any internal damage.. I'm like, bro does that even matter? The phone is covered. I don't get it. I have been this paying apple care bs for over 4 years across multiple devices, and they can't even do a screen replacement without having me to wait for 2 hours. They made me waste gas driving to the store and 1.5 hours of my life I'll never get back just to come out of that store with my cracked phone when they knew my phone was covered.
I should've made an appointment and had to wait 55 minutes for help with IPad issue. The tech, no ID badge, was knowledgeable helpful and patient. He ran a diagnostic and it only needing software updates. Thanks Apple, there was NO fee. I was surprised because he said the warranty is expired
We had to wait 3.5 hours for an appointment with a technician. I couldn't make one online because my phone wouldn't turn on. After the wait, they told me they needed to keep my phone overnight to be fixed. The next day when I arrived, they said they had no record of me dropping off the phone, my appointment that I saw confirmed on the iPad and didn't know where my phone was. After another 30 minutes of waiting and no one lettings us know what was going on, we were given my phone back. They did not give me any instructions on how to get this phone working again, it was just on, reset. So, after waiting on apple support online, I was told I need to contact my cell carrier to get them to setup the SIM. All of this without being told what was actually wrong and what steps I needed to take. Horrible service.
Worst Service. Went to reinstall apple software for my MacBook Pro and they did, however, i got the issue with my keypad but manager said it was damaged already which was a lie because before repair their own technician used keypad and showed me i showed him as well command, R , and shut down button to restart/open disk utility and keypad was working. Check your camera if i was a liar or you are.
