Overall not too bad. The staff are super friendly and helpful when they get to you. But the company makes you set up an appointment. You check in just before or on time for it then have to wait a long time. Then if it's a warranty repair they will let you know what time it'll be done and ready for pickup. Well guess what you're going to have to wait a while after that time too.
Definitely dealt with a “genius” today. Brought my dad to have his phone looked at today due to the phone screen shutting off and refusing to come on at points after an accidental drop. Mind you still had a protective case on it and everything. The “genius” ran one test that took maybe 15 seconds and then proceeds to tell us there’s nothing she can do other than update the phone. Common sense would tell you something physically built inside the phone could be broken or loose but what do I know I don’t work for Apple so I must not know what I’m talking about. Don’t waste your time coming here
Came to buy exactly what I needed they checked and it was in stock. Instead of quickly checking me out they gave me an appointment in 45 minutes. Went to wait. Came back waited in line again to get checked in. Checked in and then waited again for 15 minutes wandering the store for someone to come to me. Then after an hour since I stepped into the store they came up and started checking me out for something that shouldn’t have taken more than 2-3 minutes to do. No fault of emu employee just bad operations management design.
Had an appointment to get a “genius” technician to fix my brand new mouse that wouldn’t work on my brand new iMac. Guy does absolutely nothing to try to fix it and just tells me I need a new mouse. Turns out they didn’t even have any in stock and they would have to order it and it would take 5 days and I would have to come in to get it. You’re not helping me! I hate being at the mercy of these people.
The worst experience I've ever had at an Apple store. Went in on two days to get my Airpods Pro repaired under warranty. Day 1: Had an appointment. They asked us to wait at the genius bar for 20 min. Why bother with the appointment then? Anyway, we went there with the complaint that the left Airpod was giving a noise and right Airpod disconnected randomly. The technician replaced just the right airpod $89 and asked us to go home as the "diagnostics" said it was fine. He asked us to come back the next day if it didn't work and they'll replace it. It did not work obviously. Day 2: Was around 5-7 min late for the appointment but still within my slot. Was made to wait for 30 min all while employees were joking around. I spoke to the manager and said "You asked me to come back the next day and you'll replace it". The guy went on a tirade about how I used "you" and not "your technician" and basically offered no help. Idk what offended him so much. If an employee under him made a mistake, I have every right to say that he made a mistake. That's how management chain works. Anyway, they decided to ship my Airpods to an apple repair center. And I received them repaired a week later. The repair bill said they replaced both Airpods $89 each. So they spent: $89 x 3 = $267 + Employee salaries to "repair" a device that retails for $249 on the Apple website. Glad it was under warranty else I would've been a total fool to have visited this store.
I can’t believe my first ever negative online review is about Apple. I’ve always been an Apple fan, but after today, I need to rethink about the company. 1st disappointment: PRODUCT QUAILTY. I bought an iPhone 14 three months ago and today the speaker malfunctioned. 3 months? That’s the quality now? 2nd disappointment: REPAIR EXPERIENCE. I went to the apple store in the south shore plaza. The technician told me they need to replace the speaker and I can pick it up at 3:40pm. Note, it’s not an estimated time. He said I just need to go back at 3:40pm. 3rd disappointment: NO RESPECT on customers’ time. I went back to the store at 3:40pm, the store told me the phone is still being repaired, and will be ready at 4:15pm. Today is Wednesday, and I still need to go back to work. But I had to stay there and wait. When I asked them if my phone is ready at 4:15pm, they told me they still need 25 mins. OKAY. I waited another 25 mins. And when I went back at 4:40pm, they told me they need more time. At that point, I couldn’t wait another 20mins knowing my phone may still not be ready then. I need to go home for my kids’ teacher/parent meetings at 5pm. So I asked the store if they can just give me a new iPhone like what they used to do. But they thought I wanted to BUY a new iPhone. I was really upset that they wouldn’t be able to fix my phone after over 4 hours and was not able to give me a replacement phone. No one at the store seems to understand that CUSTOMERS' TIME IS VALUABLE. I had to leave the store without a phone. I had a very bad experience today about Apple product and store services.
Phone system was not working and store was incredibly rude when I arrived. Phone system said that store was closed even though it was open. When I spoke to associate, I was greeted rudely. Everyone in the store was short in patience and didn’t seem to care.
Came in and made a appointment for AppleCare and was told they will call me in about a hour, never received a call, I’m very disappointed!
Be awareStore doesn’t open till 11am The staff knows since one of their staff was kind enough to actually tell the 5 of us waiting for them to open but have decided not to update their website or google! Very very shameful indeed! Update: I guess within 30 minutes of my post, Apple South Shore Plaza updated their opening times for this location.
I bought a brand new iPhone 13 pro and screen protector, after the staff applied the screen protector i noticed long bubbles along the side of the edge of the of the screen protector and instead of replacing it for me after complaining they had the audacity to tell me that that was how the screen protector is made. I’m sure apple allowed such products to be released…. Get new staff please, or train them properly because we do not need to waste our money to deal with this sort of ignorance.
