So Takeem worked his butt off to do EVERYTHING. We watched him host, bus tables, take orders, check in on tables, and everything in between. He was a rock star and he was trying his best. Everyone and everything else.. was a 1 star experience. It took over an hour to get our food. There were multiple items on our tab that weren’t ours. It took a long time to even see the first person who was hosting. At some point a random waitress walked by.. asked if we needed anything. We said water refills and kids water. Well when Takeem checked in and we said she was getting it, he said he would bring it if he walked by again and we didn’t have water… guess who ended up bringing stuff? My man deserves a pay raise. But do not bother going there if you have hungry kids because it’s a 2 hour ordeal. If I didn’t see him busting his rear. I would have walked out an hour in when only the kids meals were brought out and the rest of us waited 25+ minutes more. It was infuriating to say the least.
We stopped for lunch today at the Watsonville Applebees. We were seated quickly and drinks came out fast as well. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive, even though there were only 4 other tables seated in the whole place. My BF ordered a cup of soup as an app. It was literally half full. At $5 for a cup of soup, it should be a generous serving. My daughter ordered pasta, which arrived with cold noodles and almost no sauce. My pasta was fine, but the chicken was sort of gross, so I took it out. Usually the chicken is what I would eat first! My BF ordered a 6 oz steak. Over half of it was gristle and fat. Our waitress didn't come back at all until we were done. I told her my daughter's food was cold and that's why she didn't eat. In her defense, the waitress did remove it from the bill. However, we were not offered refills on drinks, dirty dishes remained on the table the ENTIRE time we were there, etc. It was really disappointing and really speaks toward the manager needing to do some training with the staff.
Service at the Watsonville restaurant was the worse today. From the start we were treated badly from the greeters who told us to have a seat and then got mad when we sat in the seating area saying we could not sit there because it was a hazard but they did not have it closed off with any signs, drinks were watered down, food took over 45 min to arrive and then the food was cold and dried out. Horrible service!!
Walked in on Saturday night about 6 p.m. They were only busy in the bar but we still had to wait 15 minutes before we walked out. As we were sitting waiting, there was a total of 17 people that walked out. The last group told the hostess that they were only there for their all you can eat boneless chicken wings and she told them that they were out. My wife and I were there for the same reason. After the group left I asked the hostess if it was true that they were out of the boneless chicken wings and she said yes. That probably should have been something that she should have mentioned when we came in.
Tell those frat boys to help out so the cooks aren’t having to bring food to customers. Seven waitstaff on the floor and cooks still having to bring the food to customers. It took three requests to get a Pepsi brought to our table. This isn’t a cool hangout spot, this is a workplace. Food was excellent, service was terrible. Also, no soap in the men’s restroom, meaning none of those waiters are washing their hands!
THIS APPLEBEES IS AMAZING I KEEP SEEING PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WAIT BUT ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT YOU GUYS WOULD NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW IT IS WORKING IN RESTAURANTS AND SHOULD HUMBLE YOURSELF BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE CUSTOMERS ARE COMPLETE IDOTS AND MAKE THINGS SO MUCH HARDER FOR THE SERVERS THOMAS THE CARSIDE PERSON PROVIDES AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE ALSO VICTOR IS GREAT ASWELL HE FORGOT MY UTENSILS AND IMMEDIATELY TOLD ME HE FORGOT AND I GAVE HIM HIS 10 DOLLAR TIP HES AMAZING PLS COME HERE
Once is fine but multiple times is not. This place can never get it right. No queso nor guacamole on my white queso nachos. Cheese sticks are fried fused together so they don't cook all the way, and they forgot my child's meal completely.
The employees were very rude!!! Ask to speak to manager and was told there's no manager at the moment. The waiter Anthony is a awesome employee he is kind , fast and as a smile on his face. By observing Anthony he was was the only employee taking all the orders and delivering food to all the tables. While others employees just talking and walking around!!! Anthony should be acknowledge as a great employee and caring about his customers!! We order drinks and they were water down! Very disappointed and would be the last time visiting this location.
Mia is an aggressive server who deserves to be laid off. She got up in my face like a common thug when I corrected my order for her since she was busy picking fights with other servers about them stealing tables from her. Ashley the waitress always acts like she’s on her PERIOD. So rude! There was a waitress shouting about hurting a pregnant woman who stole her man. Grow up! The history of this joint is very bad especially if you look at public records.
The food is what you expect. We had a warning the system was slow, but the service was still a bit lacking. It was a slow day, and if your system is down, I'd expect them to switch back to paper tickets to keep the speed, but they didn't. And still messed up the order. It is what it is.
