I'm so glad I can come back and change my review! Our server tonight Reece totally redeemed the Cortland locations previously low star rating. She was upbeat and peppy! Such a rare occurrence these days. She definitely sold me on a blue raspberry lemonade when I would have just ordered water. Her personality is a great asset in her field. Friendly, attentive, and funny. - and our food was hot, fresh, and timely.

The waitress we had was such a sweetheart, truly listened to our request and we had a big family. Did all orders by memory and even re-asked just to make sure everything was correct so no mistakes were made. Her name was Michelle and definitely highest of all stars. Best service & waitress! Kid-friendliness: My daughter even asked to go back because the waitress was very sweet and the restaurant overall is a very welcoming with fabulous service Dietary restrictions: My daughter has one kidney so I made certain to ask for no salt on my daughters meal and the request was met to it’s highest goal.

Grace was super friendly she was very attentive and cared about our experience. We drove an hour just to dine here. The 3 cheese was under cooked, dry which was no fault of Grace’s.The chicken was cooked in old grease. We both have been In the restaurant business over 60 years. We talked to Chrystal about the 3 cheese being dry she did bring some sauce but it soaked it up that still we could not eat it.

Everything was excellent. They have a really good cook, and Annie is doing an awesome job

Our waitress was amazing! She was very attentive and made sure our food was good, which it was delicious! I ordered the southwest chicken bowl and a lemonade and my boyfriend ordered the fish and chips and a Blue Moon. We even went out on a busy Friday but still had amazing service and a wonderful experience :

7/12/2023 My husband and I went to lunch at Cortland Applebee's. We saw our favorite waitress there .. Bethany .. she is the best. She remembers what you like to order and we keep her on her toes when we change it up. lol. Also hubby was eating his burger and bit down on a hard thing. It was a spice piece out of the pickles. Carmen, the manager, came and checked it out and he gave us a discount on our bills. Awesome place to visit to sit at the bar. Love ya guys. :-

Kind service, good portions. We enjoyed the meal very much! I would say I was asked whether I want my chicken grilled or fried, and I chose grilled, but it's wasn't grilled recently, since it was cold. Still enjoyed it!

I've had some poor experiences with Applebee's in the past but recently had a very good meal so figured I'd give the chain another chance. The server was nice and the food arrived quickly but the food left some to be desired. Not terrible but not worthy of $25 with tip for a single meal. I ordered an 8oz steak and fires and I'd give both about a 4/10. The steak looked poor from the beginning. It was a thick steak and appeared to have been cooked for much longer on the top side than the bottom leaving the top very dry and overcooked. The bottom side has only barely been cooked and was still very much on the rare side. The fries were soggy and the portion was on the smaller size. I wasn't expecting perfection but would have hoped for better.

If it wasn’t for our host we would still be waiting for our food! We have been here well over 2 hrs, our waitress disappeared and our food was never delivered until we asked our host to help look into it. Our host came back with our food because it was sitting there who knows how long and it was ice cold. I had to clear our own table to make room. The food was cold and some incorrect and I had to go get the manager myself because no one was available to help. Turns out our waitress was reassigned to the carry out door and we were abandoned and then the manager tried to excuse it as lack of help. Her idea of apologizing was making excuses and taking a little bit off the $200 bill. I had to negotiate for an acceptable compensation and it took two different discussions to actually get the corrections executed because she was too busy to just take care of it, which made us there even longer!! Poor management will not destroy this place because it’s the only real chain restaurant in the town, but it will decrease their sales and number of return visits and people will definitely consider somewhere else as an option. I would encourage upper management to step in because this location needs help. Kudos to “Rae” we appreciate you and you deserve a promotion!!!
