My sisters and I went holiday shopping with our mom and we stopped in to reward ourselves with lunch and cocktails. The service was friendly and fast. The kitchen prepared food perfectly and the bartender blended delicious cocktails. We had no idea they were short staffed until we complimented our server on the food and service and she mentioned that the managers were cooking all the food and there was only three other folks running the whole restaurant. Very well done.
We will definitely NOT be returning to this location. We waited close to 15 minutes for our drinks after the waitress Sara asked what we’d like, and then she brought my husband the wrong drink. She was standing at the bar talking to other people for a while before she even brought us our drinks. We then waited about 30 minutes for our food. We ordered different types of steak, mine was on my husbands plate, my husbands was on my plate. The plate I had, had burnt bits all over it. I had to scrape it off. My fries were soggy and covered with burnt bits that were all over the plate. She was complaining to a coworker about wanting a cigarette break, but couldn’t be bothered with helping her customers. When we left, there was a man sitting alone near the doors and I noticed he kept looking over like he’s looking for the waitress. This place was absolutely terrible and I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Waste of money.
I would like to start by giving my server Sara B a big shout out for doing a fantastic job when she was running around like crazy as the place was severely understaffed and the bartender and her were the only two servers. She tried her best and the two ran the whole place. The host on duty should have just been fired. We walked in and watched him seat two tables. Then he sat us in the same area. I didn’t realize it was all up to Sara so it understandably took her a minute to get everyone taken care of. He should have told us there would be a wait. But anyway, he sat us and I asked for a high chair which he gave us, and put it at the head of the table. I didn’t think it was an issue. The manager came over and made us move, saying it was against the fire code. I understand that too. But the best part came halfway through our meal. He just disappeared and the bartender had to keep going to the door. He apparently had sat down at another table-at the head-that we couldn’t do-talking, laughing and completely ignored the guests at the door. We didn’t see him do anything after that, other than get up to watch tv. The other two cleaned tables and greeted guests. It honestly seemed like it was easier on them after he sat down. I tip my hat to the bartender as well for picking up the slack. And he did make a good drink. I would have pointed it out to the manager but he got up before I had a chance. To management: here’s what you’re paying the host to do. Sara and the young man bartending-great job, I wish you the best.
For a first time doing a curbside service take out it was kinda cool. It would have been much easier and more time efficient to have an app to place and pick up our food using the curb side service option. They almost forgotten our utensils, thankfully I checked and was able to ask the person who brought the food out to grab me a fork and knife as there wasn't any ij either bags, and they ran in to get some utensils.
Like many places during the pandemic, I understand are very short staffed so my experience was not based on that factor. My experience was that my steak was undercooked and had to be sent back. I was mostly disappointed in the appetizer and the burnt appearance as well as the majority of the dip was burned and stuck to the side. As far as service they did the best they could in this time.
This place rushed us up out of there. We didnt even have time to enjoy our food on top of that they didnt do the steak right food an had to be redone. I say when it's time for them to close I rarely seen my server even the manager on duty that night rushed us... I work at olive garden for over 17yrs now an never will a manager. Plus staff would rush any guest to leave very uncomfortable for my soul...as u can see we ordered four different dinners to review for my commenting section. Probably will return to check there day service.
The service here was terrible, when I arrived with my family the place was pretty much empty with the exception of four customers. No one welcomed us in two employees were at the checkout machine having a personal conversation giving each hugs and laughing, the women who later waited on us keep looking at my family but never did come to the front door to welcome us. My family and I stood 5 minutes waiting for assistance. Look at the photos hardly no one was in the restaurant. I like Applebee's however the location on 14 mile need to get it together!
I got the chicken Alfredo without chicken and added mushrooms and white sangria. Both were great. Oddly, I LOV dry Alfredo. Applebee’s is the only place I’ll order Alfredo because it’s dry. I can’t stand when Alfredo is like soup because all I can think about is the fact that I’m basically drinking a cup of milk which is weird and disgusting. No shade to people who drink cups of milk. If you like dry Alfredo, you’ll like this. Plus the bartender was great.
Not a fan of the fries. I prefer them a little crispier. The hamburger was decent for the price. I ordered online and our order was a little incorrect.
I should preface this by saying both my sister and I are servers and are very patient and understanding when dining out. But this experience even pushed me to my limit. We were sat right away and there were maybe two other tables in the restaurant. Took the waitress 15-20 minutes to come greet us and get our drink order. We all order and food comes out quite awhile later. The waitress Tracy drops off the food and runs off, our drink needed refilled and my sister hadn't even received her meal plus we were missing a few sauces. No big deal, thought she was just going back to get the other meal and then would ask if we needed anything else. She did not come back for another 30+ minutes. I tried explaining what was missing when she did finally appear ready to give us the bill and that my steak that I ordered medium rare, was well done. And she didn't even offer any sort of apology for not getting my sister's meal out just said in a very rude tone that she'd get the manager. The manager was some young girl that hadn't even been seen on the floor until she came out when the waitress sent her to us. They were just unbelievably slow, unfriendly and unprofessional. I would have understood more if they had been busy but there was only a few other people in the restaurant.
