don’t know why so many people rave about this place. the cheddar bomb was horribly greasy, did not compliment well with the flat egg and salty bacon, and in general just sat in my stomach for the rest of the day. getting a bacon gouda cheese sandwich from starbucks is more worth than this one and half the price. rose cardamom latte was just ok, the syrup didn’t have much of a strong flavor profile in itself. my friend enjoyed her matcha latte though. interior was lovely and so are the staff, but i would much rather go to a different cafe than this one. i do like how this place is women-owned.
I love this place because the drinks and food are amazing and it’s such a cozy spot. my only issue is that the employees don’t seem to be very allergy aware. I asked if the granola on the parfait had walnuts in it because I have an allergy but they said it was just almonds and even asked other employees as well to confirm. there were clearly chunks of walnuts on it but the employee was kind enough to make me a parfait without the granola which was still delicious. I’d recommend staying clear of the granola if you have nut allergies!
Go back out. Great coffee! Really friendly staff! I'll swing by the next time I'm in the area. Got a pile of different types of coffee, in everybody enjoyed it.Food: 5/5
Had a latte & almond croissant to start my morning at Greystone, both were delicious and I can’t wait to come back & try more on the menu! Updating my review a year later: was able to visit the inside of the cafe this visit rather than the convenient & cute pick up window. Really appreciated that seats were suggested as “no laptops” to provide a space to catch up and chat over coffee with others. Gluten-scone was ok, could have used more mix-ins in this case blueberry. Flat white with housemate almond milk was good, especially for the price. A south end neighborhood classic!
This place is so cute! Staff are lovely and the coffee is delicious, the homemade almond milk makes for a great latte. They had special croissants for Valentine’s Day, can’t wait to try more items on the menu.
Such a charming cafe tucked away in South End. The exterior is simple and unassuming, step inside and enter a new little world. Despite being in Boston for a year and trying nearly every coffee shop, I don't know how this one slipped my list. I LOVE it here. The plain croissant was easily the best in Boston! I appreciate how their muffins are personal-sized and not sickeningly sweet, which is perfect for a morning pick-me-up. It felt nourishing, not the type of muffin to make your blood sugar go crazy. The lemon blueberry muffin was exquisite. The berry scone was moist on the inside and crackly on the outside, perfect consistency. The cheddar bomb is definitely an acquired preference - if it is your first time here, try the other pastries before consecrating your opinion - but if you are into savory scones you will love it. I want to try the quiche and yogurt parfait next time. I wasn't the hugest fan of the coffee here, I find it a bit too acidic, but I really don't care because the pastries are just so amazing.
The breakfast sandwich is absolutely disgusting. Made super saucey and messy for some reason and just thrown in a box it was such a disappointment. Truly the flavors don’t make any sense together and the set up of the sandwich makes no sense either. A wet saucey egg, loose greens, more sauce and just regular bread? Gross. Just a sad menu.
Absolute hidden gem! Fresh into Boston after travelling from England we spotted this place as a loc small business and wowwww well worth the visit. Beautiful decor, amazing drinks menu and some incredible pastries. We had the pecan pie which was immense and even ordered another one for the road it was that good. Hopefully we can come again!!
I used to love greystone when it first opened during the pandemic. Not sure what happened since then but this year especially, the staff’s been so rude and impolite. I went up to pick up my online order and one staff immediately rolled their eyes at me, didn’t even try to be subtle about it. A different time, the cashier was rude and made me wait to place my order because she was in the middle of chatting with a coworker. Another separate time, they pronounced a name wrong and then a customer corrected them and they laughed at the customer’s face. It’s so sad that the service declined so much since it opened. Used to be my go to, not sure if I’ll come back after being treated so poorly multiple time.
Absolutely amazing bakery! They just opened the inside and its so relaxed ajd modern! Truly the best berry scone ive ever had, and I'm not just saying that to be nice... I mean it. The staff are super friendly, the pastries are delicious, the atmosphere is quaint, and the location is prime! 10/10 would recommend.Food: 5/5
