This company took over as my husband's CPAP supplier when CVS stopped servicing CPAP supplies. They assured me on the phone that they took my insurance and convinced me to set up auto shipments. His first shipment arrived quickly and two months later a second shipment arrived. I thought it was odd that I never received a bill for the first shipment and I am already receiving a second. Then I got an email from my insurance company. Apparently they are not contracted with our insurance and I now have a $1200 bill. Why would you not alert your patient prior to sending out a shipment when insurance is not covering it. I work in Pharmacy and I would never dream of doing this to a patient. I hope I am wrong and they will do something ro fix this. Based off the reviews I'm not hopeful. What a scam of a company.
Their online order group is SO INCOMPETENT! “Guaranteed 3-5 day delivery”, I said I only wanted to order if able to receive in 3-5 days. I called on day 5. “It hasn’t shipped, we don’t even have it in the warehouse yet. I don’t know when you will receive…” I canceled my order. I now understand why they have such terrible reviews. I’m going to report to BBB.
Worst company ever! If I could give it negative 100 stars, I would. I worked there & they were always trying to do more with less. Profit was their only motivation. Customers & employees were not valued. The Eden Prairie branch manager office managers are the worst, constantly cutting customer & employee benfits. I would never recommend this company for my own parents if they need oxygen or medical supplies!
if you can find anyone else to rent your cpap or oxygen concentrator from then by all means do so. my father recently succumbed to his COPD and having to deal with this company was almost always a massive PITA. customer service for the most part doesnt exist and when you do get through to someone theyre usually rude and incompetent. one evening at around 8PM we had our oxygen concentrator fail and waited around for hours for a replacement to show up. eventually my dads oxygen cylinders started to run out so we had to go and wait at the emergency room lobby at Regions until 4 AM when they finally managed to get us a replacement oxygen concentrator. that should tell you everything you need to know about this company.
Worst experience ever working with this company. Received my equipment with an order stating I had supplies when I didn’t. Took another 4 weeks and several phone calls before I received all pieces of my equipment. Then the billing was horrific. Sending me bills for payments I already made then having to argue with billing on the phone. There are choices with healthcare supplies…don’t use Apria Healthcare.
Yikes. My mom has been using Apria since 2020 and according to Medicare once you start with an oxygen supplier you have a 5 year window. When my mom was transitioned to hospice, her oxygen provider changed which we understood. We learned the new provider doesn’t have the equivalent POC that she had with Apria. I called Apria and they said we don’t contract with hospice, I said right understood, you do not contract with nor can you bill hospice. I’m not asking to bill hospice, I’m asking to bill Humana who covers my moms POC. No, we do not work with hospice. Kept repeating the same thing and when I asked if there was someone else I could talk to I was told the GM would call back and tell me the exact same thing. I didn’t get the call from the GM but rather someone else suggesting I call the billing department. Also, I will mention a delivery that she placed that was never received. She placed the delivery so that she had extra cannulas for a trip. When the cannulas didn’t arrive she called and they said yes we delivered them. My mom said you delivered 50 foot tubing and not the cannulas. Apria said no problem, we’ll look into it and get them shipped out right away. More time passes no cannulas, she called again and was told they found some 45 mins away, my mom said great when will they arrive? Apria, “you’ll have to drive and get them.” Honestly, you cannot make this stuff up unreal.
If I could give the company less than zero I would. Their website is useless and all except 2 people I've worked with in 17 years with Apria have been uncaring and incompetent. Their billing department should be outsourced since it's a total wreck....oh wait it is!!! Go any where else rather than Apria.
The most rude, dishonest, disrespectful customer service you have ever encountered. Don't walk away, run! Company will send you whatever cpap equipment they want to send after they have blown you off at every turn but wont tell you that upfront. You have no choices in cpap equipment here. RUN AWAY! Completely wasted over a week of my time getting equipment. I was lucky enough to change companies before it was too late. The new company I changed to is kind, efficient, calls back, can get a fax and will send me the equipment of my choice.
More than 2 months have gone by since my physician put the order in for a new CPAP! The call center reps still claim they are missing information: my Dr's office resent everything 2 weeks ago. The practice is very experienced in providing ALL the needed information the first time....sleep study, compliance, pulmonary tests, diagnoses, etc. After 37 minutes on the phone I was transferred to the " back room escalation team" for a resolution which resulted in yet another opportunity to leave a voicemail. The message identifying the person I reached was unclear so I may have left a message to the janitor. The message I left last month maybe went to the window washer since I got absolutely no response. Maybe Medicare accepted this low bid firm in the hopes the patients pass away before the equipment is delivered. I'll add that their service delivered and billed Medicare for replacement CPAP tubing that can not be used on my current machine! Nor will I use it on my new machine should I ever receive it and it was not requested in my supply order.
Had to give at least one start in order to comment but horrible horrible service. Contacted about renting a knee walker told to have Dr. put discharge date so order would be expedited, two different answers from four different people, walker not available to rent, purchase only and would take 7-10 days then another 7-10 days because out of stock. Supervisors not helpful. Contacted five times within 2 weeks finally went somewhere else and had a walker within a few hours. Would not recommend this company at all, they couldn't even get the order cancelled as requested.
