First ,Someone left a review they were upset cuz they had a sick fish and the person at store seemed busy, well maybe they had 3 customers in store and cleaning 6 tanks and they are by themselves, and special one you call and want what you want! Go to store! People are so inconsiderate of what employees go through. Go to the store like the rest of us and I'm sure they would help you with your problem, but you leave a one-star review for that one experience. If it was my store I wouldn't even want you in there. Everytime I've gone to the store I've been met with knowledgeable employees and help. And when I see that I walked in while they're helping somebody else I'll tell the employer you take care of your business I'll look around a little bit more. But you know spoiled little kids want what they want. I set up a new 65-gallon tank and all looking good. All the plants are doing really well. Very happy. I know if they sold kitty cat stuff I would be going there for that to.
John is amazing. He helped me assess what was going with my oscar and set a plan. Within 3 weeks my fish pupp was back to his normal self. Thank you John for all of the tests and consoleing me through this process.
We bought a powder blue tang from them and doing very good !! I love their customer service, and the price was good we'll definitely come back !
Went to the grand opening Sept 2nd at 10AM and they only had like 8 adult african cichlids to choose from. They were all dull and sick looking. They had a nice display tank when you walk in, stocked with some nice cichlids but they aint for sale. They obviously had their focus all mixed up.
This the second time I’ve purchased something from this store and died in 1 to 3 days. I purchased 5 coral reefs on different occasions they all died within a week. I recently purchased a starfish sand shifting that died in 3 hours of being in my tank. I test my water once a week so I know that’s not the problem. I got them a bunch of chances but I don’t feel comfortable spending money on salt water fish or coral reefs and they don’t live past 3 hours
Lot of review raving about the "great employees." Really wondering where they're at because the man working at the store on my visit was extremely rude to us. We were asking and trying to pick out some shrimp, but his response was simply that "it's not worth my time. You get what you get." Cool selection but terrible customer service.
i'm from arlington. there aren't many freshwater options down here, so i must say i was glad to see 8 rows of freshwater tanks from the front door. i wasn't looking to purchase anything but they had a very nice selection of freshwater fish and crustaceans. they also carried aquariums; single or a full kit with a stand, some were dry scaped for you to get a rough idea of what it would look like. there were also stones, driftwood, water chemistry products, etc. i was promptly greeted at the door by a male employee who thoroughly answered my question regarding the tanks that they sold. after a little walk around to check out all of the animals, i was helped by a very helpful female employee who showed me the driftwood that they carried and listened to my story about my upcoming tank. she told me that they didn't have the driftwood i was looking for but informed me of another store pretty close by that could have it on hand which they did. i saw an article that said that the Aquarium Boutique was closing though, being replaced by a Fish Gallery. i could see remodeling happening past the freshwater section, which was confirmed by the female employee who helped me. also, the other aquatic store that she recommended was not an Aquarium Boutique, but a Fish Gallery. i guess the Aquarium Boutique is leaving the space; lots of things on sale right now, so a good time to come in for some deals. all in all a great experience. i would definitely come check this place out soon if you're looking for some good service, rimless tanks, hardscape, or animals.
Great selection and even better employees. You can ask them to order in special orders
I’ve been coming here for the last 5 years for fish and supplies. Even though the employees seem to change every year, they are always helpful and kind every time I visit. The Albino Weather loach I purchased 5 years ago is now longer than my hand. I call him Mr. Noodle and he’s very social. I purchased Molly fish 3 years ago and they like to have babies and produce the cutest fry. Sometimes Mr. Noodle has the fry as a snack, but it’s ok because I don’t need overstock. Today I finished cycling a 5 gallon aquarium in my home office and was looking for the perfect buddy to go in, and here I found a lovely Red Dragon betta fish. He’s very sassy, but that is a good trait to have when you purchase a betta. He will be living alone anyway so he can be sassy all he wants. All of my beautiful fish come from this store, and even when I moved to Forney I still come back for fish here. Every time I visit Dallas, I cannot help but stop in and look around, and I always leave with something. It’s like a guilty pleasure for the aquarium hobbyist. Pro Tip: If you live far away and plan to buy fish, bring an empty cooler with you. You can store your beautiful bagged fish inside the closed cooler. The cooler will make it dark so your fish will relax and help prevent stress, and the cooler works as an insulator to keep the bag the same temperature all the way home, so they won’t have a temperature shock from being transported.
Manager and employees are very helpful and friendly. I throughly enjoyed my visit, and the great deal I received on the 55 gallon tank and stand.
