The Wavemakers began June 22, 2010 as a corporate club for Aquarium of the Pacific staff members. The charter members found the club to be a surprising success as they improved their leadership abilities and public speaking skills.
In January 2012, we opened our doors to become a community club. All members of the local community are welcome to visit our club and see if it's the right fit for his/her goals. Membership is available to all who want to improve themselves and support the other club members' improvement as well.
It's a challenging and sometimes frightening thing, trying to become a confident and polished public speaker. The fear of public speaking can be debilitating! However, you're not going to find a more excited, fun, and supportive group - at least according to us.
