The staff are AMAZING. They are always checking up with you and providing what you need to the best of their ability. Their attitude was pretty consistent, kind and alert. The restrictions on what you can keep are a lot less strict here. I was allowed to keep my iPod since music is my #1 coping skill which I can appreciate beyond words. I hope future clients don’t ruin that freedom. My one major complaint is the food. I know it’s hospital food but they could improve by asking if certain things on the food was okay. We had burgers with cheese one night, I would have strongly preferred no cheese and to have ketchup on the side. We had breakfast burritos with salsa in them. Would have preferred it on the side, etc. The staff will ask why you didn’t eat if you didn’t and offer to provide a substitute. I did not take that offer so I do not know their limitations of what they could make for us. I’ve been to a few mental health facilities in my life time, this is probably one of the best if not best one I’ve experienced so far.
