Every Sunday they host rec basketball. I come to support my boyfriend. I always come in with food or drinks. Never been stopped. Seen other people drinking and eating. Today I had food for me and my step daughter. We both needed to eat. I’m 5 months pregnant and she is 1. It’s crowded in the hallway because of the kids football sign up. I get to the door and the lady with blonde hair, stops me and her. “No food.” I said ma’am I pregnant and we need to eat. “Well you can eat in the hallway” WHEN ITS ALREADY CROWDED WITH KIDS AND NO PLACE TO SIT FOR A PREGNANT WOMAN AND TODDLER?! Beyond embarrassed and disappointed because this is how you treat people? I had to walk back in the rain and eat in the car which is fine but as a woman, you would think she had sympathy. Let her go.
My daughter has basketball practice at this center 3x week and its always cold. The parents have made numerous complaints but nothing changes. We have to wear all of our winter gear when we are in there.
Voting was perfect! No line! Walked right in.. everything was organized..people were friendly.. the instructions were clear and concise! GREAT!! voting experience!!!
It is a excellent facility it has something for everyone of all ages.

This was my assigned voting station. Was fast, efficient. Also looks like a nice place to hold events, etc.
Arbutus Recreation is a great place for seniors to play pickle ball. Good folks play in a well kept court.
Interesting that this popped up on my list from when I made a copy at the library because I was the director for a summer camp for severe special needs ages 3 to 21. I was there for five years.
I lived in arbutus a long time and I'm pleased to have this facility. Very clean and taken care of. Great for the youth.
