Archbold Biological Station is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to ecological research, conservation, and education.
Our quest is to understand, interpret, protect, and restore the ecological wonders of Central Florida, from the high dry scrub ridges, down through the wetlands, prairie ranchlands, and dark flowing creeks and rivers of the Northern Everglades.
The mission of Archbold Biological Station is to build and share the scientific knowledge needed to protect life, lands, and waters in the heart of Florida and beyond
The Learning Center is open to the public for self-guided trails (nature, history, landscaping etc) and for scheduled tours, and available for school field trips, college classes, and non-profit and professional workshops and conferences.
