No sense of urgency in the ER. Nursing staff doing more talking and sitting at the nursing stations than helping patients. 1 star only because of the speed of EMS and their not even part of the system but play a critical role and were great. Fallrisk patients are on their own. You call for the restroom and someone comes 45 minutes later. No mask wearing. Maintenance not performed. Are you really safe here.
My elderly mom was recently in the hospital and on 8/15 a two facility people enter her room with no introduction just walking and looking. On 8/15 the same two facility people enter her room during lunch when I was in the middle of feeding her wanting to swap out her meal table. The guy stated he would wait and come back when she finished. The lady was very rude and stated we are taking it now, that a truck was waiting. This is very unacceptable. This is poor planning on someone part and someone needs to educate the lady on customer service skill. On the positive note all the nurses and nurse tech have been wonderful and making sure our mom was comfortable. I would like to give a big shout out to Marissa who only worked a couple of days with her done an awesome job with her medication. She was on top of it and got her pain medicine more on a regular schedule to prevent her from being in pain.
Slowest hospital ever. They will make you wait for hours on hours to be seen. Even if you have an appointment at a set time, you will still wait over several hours after being told to come 30 minutes early. And if you are about to die, I suggest you better rough it out for 2-3 hours before you even get any care. Avoid this place at all cost because it's bad enough they will take their precious time so they can get paid more ‍
They got a whole star but it's really a 3rd of that star. This is not a good hospital at all. If you have a love one who's sick and you love them don't bring them here. My mom was still sick and weak when they discharged her. The nurses on the 6th floor talked to her so rudely and handled her rough. When my mom told me that I started recording when I would leave out of the room to hear what was being said and done. Yes I still have the recordings and videos present. Long story short my mom passed away 5 days after being discharged. She was discharged on Feb 20, 2023. She passed away on Feb 25. If the president can't go here when he comes to Thomasville neither should we.
My aunt was brought here because SGMC in Valdosta was not taking anymore patients. I was so impressed with the compassion received from the employees. She is in ICU now, and I cannot praise the medical team enough. Her nurses, Ashley and Alexy, are terrific. The entire team will jump in and help where ever they are needed. I am so glad my aunt is here.
My Grandson has been here since 11:30 pm with severe pain in his right arm and hand from a accident. It is now 1:44 am. I understand emergency coming in at the back door. Come on nobody has went in the back but a elderly man who had taken a tumble . Might add he drove himself to the ER. This isn't my first encounter with this hospital. I still stand by my 1 star rating ! Update left AMH at 7:30 am. Was told all his bones in his right hand were broken and crushed into pieces. Follow up with orthopedic today to learn he has not 1 broken bone. His hand was dislocated. Surgery still but at least the doctor is experienced and has knowledge. Just know he will not be left unattended. Archbold should be embarrassed of their service! AMH no need for a response back. You will just repeat the same message to all that scored this hospital a low rating.
This hospital took great care of my 3 month old baby daughter with covid and severe respiratory distress. She immediately got seen, and care began almost right when she was taken inside. She is so so so much better now and is able to smile and play with her toys. Thanks to all the staff, respiratory therapists, nurses and doctors who got my baby back to her normal happy baby self.
I am not even sure where to start! My husband and I were on our way to our first trip in years just to two of us for Valentine’s Day when I started experiencing the most indescribable pains. I ended up at this hospital at 1:30 in the morning on our drive from FL headed to Savannah. I had an ectopic pregnancy rupture and EVERY SINGLE PERSON who cared for me was incredibly kind, helpful and personal. The nurses in the ER, the doctors who prepped and performed my surgery, anesthesiologist, the ultrasound tech and nurses in recovery…everyone was incredibly kind. They took me right back and began my care. I have never been treated so well by medical professionals in my life. Thankful that I was blessed to have been under these people’s care. It did ruin our trip as we were unable to go, but I do believe I was put in their path for a reason. So thankful.
Need people to work here who cares about their patients. Most here are unprofessional and seems like they're only working here for the paycheck. It's very depressing to have to come to this hospital.
I am currently sitting in the ER for @ 7 hours now. Triage upon arrival. Vitals, blood work, X-rays, CT scan, Ekg and still waiting. I asked the nurse how much longer, she said " your waiting on a bed in the back. Why do I need a bed if you took all the tests while I was sitting. This is frustrating, unprofessional and depressing. A lady literally passed out waiting and other patients had to summon a nurse.. I don't recommend this facility. After 7 hours and 32 minutes I arrive in the back. Doctor come in, identification not visible, wanted me to get in a bed and get iv Soooooo this is how they make money. Of course you are dehydrated and hungry. I will take this complaint to the top. Poor experience and unacceptable
