Some very interesting items! I've never seen or heard of a cooling coffin. Some fun creepy dolls, to boot! The hosts do a nice job of answering questions and introducing the items on display. Glad we stopped by!
I went here last night with a friend. The two folks that were there, were extremely nice, and very knowledgeable of all the items! We loved the stories shared, and definitely caught some amazing evidence on camera! I highly suggest history buffs and paranormal investigators alike go here!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$31+
Eclectic collection of funeral home items, old military items, some things from the old penitentiary, and a lot of items considered haunted or having energy attached to them. Quite the collection of stuff. It's in a two story house with no air conditioning so be aware of that.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
A nice stop after our WV State Penitentiary tour. Owner very knowledgeable and willing to share his stories. 2 rooms of fascinating artifacts and historical information. It's in the old Sanford school and not easily noticeable if using GPS. It takes you to a vacant parking lot but you have no idea it's the correct parking lot until you've driven around the block and seen the front of the building.
Visited yesterday and im not entirely sure something didn't follow me home after the night I had! Had a great time while i was here, the owner is fantastic! It is now 2 rooms as well! So, it is growing! Be aware it is in an old school building so it does not have AC and its on the top floor, so dress accordingly! There's so much to see! I honestly feel like i didn't get enough pictures! Its off the beaten path, but worth the visit. Ample parking was available in the lot behind the school, street parking also seemed plentiful but it IS in a residential area so if you street park be cognizant that residents live there....the entrance is not where the lot is, you have to walk to the front to enter then the steps to access this are down the main entry hall and to the right....
Rather off the beaten track, enjoy the mountain drive to find this gold mine. It is a building full of carefully collected & displayed objects of the paranormal you will find nowhere else. Owner, collector Steve Hummel will guide you through.
If you love the macabre, history and of course the paranormal, then you will love this little museum. Each piece comes with a story and if you ask..you can find out even more history behind the artifact. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip here.
Are you into the unusual? Want something different to do? Even if you're not into the paranormal, this is an interesting museum of history, creepy dolls, and death objects. Steve has amazing stories to tell. It's definitely worth a visit!
