This is THE place to get arepas. I have searched near and far for arepas that come close but nothing has yet since the discovery of this gem 5 yrs ago. Absolute favorite arepa is the pollo mechado drenched in green sauce and spicy sauce. Fave meal is the pabellon Camarones. I love this place!
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious. Great portions and a diverse selection on the menu. Will return.Food: 5/5
I have dinner with my friend, this is the second time I go, take my friend, I like the food there very much, I order a lot of food, then the arepa beef has no taste, I ordered 3 servings of cachapa, I ordered a beef arepa, and my friend also ordered arepa, but, I must explain to you, I ordered arepa with the waiter, not cachapa, I have already ordered 3 mini cachapas, how can I order beef cachapa Woolen cloth? The male waiter said that he had already repeated it to me, but you didn't say it like this when you repeated it, which caused us to be unable to finish eating and wasting food. A really bad dinner that led to a bad night and you think that's the way to go? No, the first time I went to a restaurant with my friends, I didn’t charge 20% of the consumption. This time, the restaurant charged us 20% directly, and there was no service, no service at all. If you serve a little Yes, I don't care about restaurants charging 20%, I will tip double, anyway, this is the last time I go, and I will never come back, bye, arepa coffee
Whenever we are in Astoria, we try to eat here. Although we live in a neighborhood with an arepas place on every corner, nothing compares to Arepas Cafe. We are vegans, and I am gluten-sensitive, so the vegan option is perfect. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The place can be crowded and noisy inside, but it is okay. They had tables outside even before the pandemic, which is a good option on a nice day. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options, many of which can be made vegan simply by leaving the cheese off. Dietary restrictions: Since arepas are made from corn, they are gluten-free.
Authentic Venezuelan Food. Fried Yuca with the green sauce is favorable. You won’t regret if you order any arepa, they all taste good. The restaurant is not super big but normally, you don’t need to wait on a weekend afternoon. They also offer Chicha a nonalcoholic drink. Parking: Park on the street, meter parking
I was recommended by a friend, the food is so-so, but the waiter gave me two extra dishes, but I didn't order these two dishes, and I don't know why the price is inconsistent with the menu, I will not come again.
Authentic Venezuelan food made with quality ingredients and love. A friend of ours brought some "Hallacas and Pan de Jamón " that were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place! Vegetarian options: Made to order with your choice of ingredients
When it comes to Venezuelan food, Arepas Cafe does not disappoint. I would recommend to start with their “Sample Platter” which will give you a taste of all their appetizers. The "Parrilla Super Mix" is a must-try dish that will blow your mind with a combination of flavors from the tender chicken, juicy shrimp, and steak. If you're a fan of arepas, you'll love their "Pollo Mechado" – the perfect combination of juicy, shredded chicken and fresh toppings. And don't forget to try their "Cachapas" with shredded chicken, which are to die for. To top it off, Arepas Cafe has got you covered with their Passion Fruit mimosa, this drink will elevate your dining experience to the next level. Overall, Arepas Cafe is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves great food, cozy atmosphere, and exceptional service. With its welcoming vibe and outstanding dishes, this restaurant will quickly become your new favorite spot.
Always super solid, friendly place with good portions. Delicious!Food: 5/5
I usually shy away from area restaurants because the serve mostly meat. This place has a wider selection and everything was delicious. Thank you. I will go there again. Vegetarian options: I had mushroom arepa and my wife had a shrimp area, we eat seafood.
