Arlee Theater

We look forward to going here. Always a good time, and the owners and staff are friendly and remember my son and I. Mom took my brother and me here in the early to mid 70's, so it's fun for me to take my family. Traditional movie snacks which is fine at great prices. Love the free standing ticket booth.

Updated theater that retains the charm of the original building but enhanced tech. Lots of leg room in the seats, modest concession stand, anf super friendly staff. Parking is on the street right on front of the theater. A must see!

One of the great old theaters kept pristine by the owners with pride! Great prices, both at ticket and refreshment counters. A treat for this visiting movie lover.

Excellent service, comfortable and very pleasing old school small town theater. May bring a sweater or jacket however as it is kept cool in Illinois hot weather. And it's not really cold, I'm naturally cold. Great theater for the entire family

WOW, a great theater with state-of-the art equipment, if you are looking for awesome sound and an amazing picture in an unexpected place this is it. Check their website, it is family owned and maned by volunteers!! Mason City is a small town with a big-time movie house, start with a well lit marquee, you then walk up to an old-time ticket booth where a lady takes your money $5 per adult and up a gradual incline to the very reasonably priced snack bar, through the double doors back in time to when buildings had character and then boom you get hit with the sound system that rivals any of the chain theaters. Make the drive you won't be disappointed. It is handicap accessible.

This place is awesome! Awesome doesn't really do it justice. They have done an amazing job at bringing an old theater back to life. The prices are ridiculously low, and all profits go back into the restoration and modernization of the theater and the electronics. The prices on concessions are very reasonable. The owner and staff couldn't be nicer. They have a digital projector and great sound, so no worries about quality. The seats are 80 and 60 years old, and still comfy! This is a hidden gem that everyone should experience.

Beautifully restored, had a wonderful time last nite, staff was very friendly and patient while we were at the snack bar. Amazing sound, great quality picture, clean with comfortable seats and plenty of leg room for my husband. I really miss the old theaters with that sense of style with large lighted entrances with neon lights. This one has it all, well worth the drive, highly recommend. Very reasonable prices on both the movie and the snacks. Thank you and we will be back. I give you 10 stars. Sorry had to edit, it only took the 5 star rating not my review.

Small town business with still current movies! Great price for admission, delicious concessions, clean, nicely maintained interior. There is definitely pride of ownership! Locally owned and operated by lifelong Mason City residents who just want the community to have a fun affordable entertainment option for the whole family
