While I totally respect officers enforcing the law, I do not appreciate the way my father was treated when falling into a speeding trap. Although he may have been speeding, the speed limit had just changed and an officer walked into the middle of the road to direct him onto a side street while allowing the car next to him also apparently speeding to continue on its way. My father was provided no information on how to pay the ticket quick and efficiently by the officer and as we will be out of the country in remote areas during the required 14-21 days to pay online, paying this ticket appropriately appeared to be problematic. When my father went to the police station to ask what to do about paying the ticket- he was told by an officer rudely- I don’t know what to say- you broke the law- hire a lawyer. My mom found out a number to call to pay the ticket right away but why couldn’t the officers have given him that information in a respectful manner? My father is nearly seventy years old and hasn’t had a speeding ticket in many years. It’s appalling the treatment provided to him. Also- there does not appear to be free or easy to find parking for people to access the police station. How is that possible for a police station where people are supposed to be able to go for help? I have to pay the city of Arlington heights to help me? Or have to find free street parking somewhere and walk? Not very accessible.
I moved my families cars to shovel the driveway, and explained and said I would move it that instant BEFORE the officer even started writing me a parking violation. It would have taken him less time to watch me move my car into the driveway then it did to write me a ticket. I wish this officer had been more considerate because I have always had a wonderful experience with all other encounters with Arlington Heights Police officers =
The AH police department has some of the most WONDERFUL human beings on earth! My mother was murdered 13 years ago, by her son. The officers rallied around her she lived 12 weeks after the attack and my family. All this time has passed and I still hear from them. They are supportive and caring people. All I can say is...I’m so glad they are on the job.
I've had nothing but the best experiences with these police. One officer went above and beyond for me and he cared about me so much. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
Very disappointed with the disrespectful behavior of Arlighton Heights officers who searched my car after claiming they smelled marijuana I don’t smoke marijuana and nobody else have smoked marijuana in my car. During the search they totally trashed my car. They threw all my CDs on the floor and it appears that someone stepped right in the middle of the pile, breaking several cases. Everything was tossed around. In the trunk the content of a first aid kit was all over, clearly tossed around, not just simply searched. The matt at the botttom of the center console was removed causing everything in it to fall through the hole down on the floor below and I can’t reach the small items. This must have been obvious to them and it would have taken a second to replace the matt to keep everything from falling through. Clearly they didn’t care and I firmly believe that it was done on purpose out of malice. None of this was necessary to search the car. All of this happened because a cop claimed to smell marijuana where no marijuana had been. Considering that one has to question his honesty which is probably on par with his respect and integrity. This is not how law enforcement should behave.
Commander Gyorke and Officer Gonzalez where so Amazingly helpful. As I got in a accident and the other party made false statements. They went out of their way, as I am out of state for me to Receive the documentation that I needed. They Were very patient as I asked many questions do my ignorance In insurance policy’s. Thanks again
I called the police department to help my customer retrieve her lost phone from another unknown individual. This officer whom I cannot remember his name was very informative, respectful and patient. Thank you for your professionalism!
My sister and I drive here in her convertible. Nice officers really willing to help as we had all our ducks in a row. Wonderful department so helpful
The police officers in Arlington Heights have no understanding of the special needs residents. Three special needs students at a local school were wrongly arrested and charged by an Arlington Heights police officer
I went because of an emergency but nobody speaks Spanish, I asked if I could call someone who can act as an interpreter and they did not answer me.
