Great place to vacation, lots of reservoirs for boating, great lodging with the exception of the Bunkhouses, central to cave exploring, the Jack Daniels Distillery, Blac Rifle Coffee and many other places to see. We really enjoyed our stay at the Arnold AFB Wingo Inn. Friday night was a live band at the Lakeside Club, the band was great, food and drinks were very reasonable. Overall the week we stayed here was awesome.
The visitors center is a joke. All the employees left for 30 minutes while 15 plus people waited in the lobby. 1.5 hours to get a visitors badge is ridiculous. Glad to see my tax dollars are being used efficiently.
Cost to play is high for the condition of the course. The greens are in need of a lot of work. The course fairways are one grade above a driving range.
I was going to take my wife to a military PX to get groceries but just yesterday 28APR2018 @ 1600 one of the guards I felt made a very unprofessional comment he said, "are you from around here?" I said no. He said, "I guess that's why you can't read the signs." I entered from the right. The sign says main gate gate to the left and vistor right . I really didn't notice the sign and just followed the other cars just looping around. I am always nice to the guards at military bases and they've always been nice back.

Terribly worded directions. Please make the main gate’s address more accessible. It took us all over the place and we never found the main gate.
Love to see inside. It almost looks like a large rf / vacuum chamber... Looks amazing from Google Earth. Who would I ask for a tour.
